The guy that built my coupe was in the Aristocrats Car Club in Taylorville,Il A guy gave me the car clubs cons***uion when i bought my coupe and I never really looked at it until this morning. Its from 1958 I scanned it but it was not very clear Article 1-- Name and Insignia Sec. 1. The name of this club shall be: Aristocrats Car Club Incorporated. Sec. 2. This club shall have such official insignia as the membership shall determine. Article 2--Objects Sec.1. To create good fellowship and sportsmanship a**** the members. Sec.2. To uphold the principles of good government. Sec.3. To conduct club operations and activities in such a manner as to bring about a clearer understanding on the part of the public, press, and law enforcement agencies of organized hot rod activities. Sec.4. To promote safety in automobile maintenance and operation. Sec.5. To promote interest in various types of hot rod activity. Article 3-- Membership Member's Oath I, ___________,pledge that I will conduct myself, in all hot rod activities--club sponsored or nit--in a safe and sportsmanlike manner, acknowledgeing the aims and purposes upon which this club is founded. I further agree to endeavor to bring credit to myself and my club by careful and considerate driving on public highways and by strict observance of the Motor Vehicle Codes of my community and state. Sec.1. There shall be two types of membership in this club: Active and Honorary Sec.2. Any person of good character interested in hot rod activities is eligible for Active membership in this club with full priveledges thereof. Sec.3. Honorary membership may be conferred upon a person by vote of the membership for meritous service to the club. Honorary members shall not pay dues nor have a vote in club business. Sec.4. All applications for membership must be accompanied by the initiation fee. Sec.5. All applications for membership must be sponsored by an Active member in good standing and must be accepted by a majority vote of the members present. Sec.6. Any member who commits unsafe driving acts on public highways or whose conduct is otherwise detrimental to the purposes and standing of the club may be fined, suspended, or expelled from the club by a majority vote of the members present after being given a proper hearing. Sec.7. All active members of this club shall be members of the NHRA. Sec.8. All eligible members, before becoming a member of this club, must prove that they have access to or own a car of their own. Sec.9. All eligible members, who have their applications for membership pending, must wait one week before joining the club. Sec.10. Every person that becomes a member of this club must sign a notorized paper stating that they will adhere to all rules of this club. Article 4--Initiation fee and dues Sec.1. The intiation fee for application for membership of this club shall be $2.00 Sec.2. The dues for the active members of this club shall be .25 per week and shall be payable the Treasurer on or before the last meeting of each month. Sec.3. Any member whose dues are in arrears 30 days shall automatically be suspended from membership and can be reinstated to full membership status only upon payment of all delinquent dues. Sec.4. Any member going to military service or schools away from home shall not pay any dues. Said member shall automatically become and honorary member with full priveledges stated therein. Article5--Officers Sec.1. The elective officers of this club shall be President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Sergeant-at-Arms. In addition there shall be Sponsors and Advisors, and a Board of Directors. Article 6-- Elections Sec1.. All nominees for office shall be active members in good standing. Sec.2. All elected and appointed officers and Board members must remain active members in good standing during their terms in office. Sec.3 All officers and directors shall be elected at the last meeting prior to the beginning of the new term, shall ***ume office at the first regular meeting of the new term, the first of every year, and shall hold office for one year or until their successors are duly elected and qualified. Sec.4. Nominations shall be made from the floor and all voting shall be open. Sec.5. Elections shall be decided by majority vote of all members present. Article 7--Duties of Officers Sec.1. The President shall preside at all meetings of the club, appoint such commitees as necessary to carry out the activities of the club; see that regular elections are held in accordance with the clubs cons***ution; and issue the call for any special meeting that he deems necessary, and sign checks with treasurer counteridge. Sec.2. The Vice-President shall perform the duties of the President in his absence, and act as ex-officio member of all commitees Sec.3. The Secretary shall keep the minutes of the meetings of the club; keep membership records; give notice of all regular and special meetings of the membership; and handle club correspondence. Sec.4. The Tresurer shall collect dues; collect all other money due the club; keep the club books; make payment from club funds; shall countersign all club checks; keep an account of all club money matters; and shall make regular reports of the financial condition of the club. Sec.5. The Sergeant-at-Arms shall maintain quiet and order at all meetings and shall see that the orders of the President are carried out. If a member of the club is asked to be quiet by the Sergeant-at-Arms more than two times, he will be told to leave the meeting. Article 8--Meetings Sec.1. Three officers present shall cons***ute a meeting Sec.2. Regular membership meetings shall be held once a week at a time and place. The regular meeting will last for one hour. Sec.3. During a meeting members must raise their hand and be recognized by the presiding officer, and then state their business. Sec.4. The order of business for all meetings of the club and board shall be as follows: a. Call to order b. Roll call c. Introduction of visitors d. Reading and approval of minutes of previous meeting e. Reading of correspondence f. Report of Secretary g. Report of Treasurer h. Report of commitee i. Unfinished business j. New business k. Announcements l. Adjournment Sec5. The standing commitees of this club are: a. Membership b. Entertainment c. Activities d. Safety e. Publicity Article 9--Safety check Sec.1. Every member's car shall be given a safety check at least every three months, with a follow-up inspection for those found unsatisfactory. Sec.2. After the completion of each quarterly safety check, the member scoring the highest total points will be given an award by this club. Article 10--Delegations Sec.1. Delegations shall be appointed by the President to represent this club at any convention, meeting or ***embly as may be deemed necessary. Such delegations, shall excercise only those powers specifically vested in them by this club. Artice 11--Amendments Sec.1. This cons***ution and by-laws can be amended at any regular or special meeting of the club at which there are three officers present, by a majority of all active members in good standing present. Sec.2. Amendments so adopted shall take effect immediately. Article 12--Amendments Sec.1. Each article of the Cons***ution must be votedon and accepted by a majority of the members at the first meeting of the club. BY-LAWS of THE CONS***UTION OF THE ARISTOCRATS Article 1-- All members are encouraged to obtain and wear an official club jacket and own and display the club plaque. Article 2-- The Treasurer will be held responsible for the correctness and accuracy of the books which pertain to his office. Article 3-- Every member missing a meeting without an excused absence will have a fine levied upon them for the amount of $.50. Article 4-- Any money spent for the club or for any of the activities of the club must be authorized by proper officers of the club. Article 5-- Every fine paid by a member of this club to a police traffice court or Judge must be paid again in the amount of 1/2 of the original fine to the club Treasurer. Article 6-- If a member of this lub receives three such fines from a court, said member will be expelled from this club for good. Article 7-- Once a member is expelled from this club, he must return the emblem and plaque to the club at once. The Treasurer will give this ex-member a refund of $1.00 for the emblem and the sum of $2.50 for the plaque. Article 8--Car must be in good running condition; after entering club the car will be given a complete safety check, which will on a 10 point safety check basis. Article9-- The age limit for the Aristocrats is minumum 16 and the maximum 24.

I think you will find they run about the same now. I was invited to a meeting last summer by a freiend and they p***ed out their rules. Boring. ....
Our club has no Cons***ution, no President, no Treasurer. no Secretary and the dues are one dollar a year. But none of the members pay it because we don't trust any of the members with that kind of money. Also, no regular meetings. Just BS sessions in my shop. Best club I have ever known. Cons***iution? We don't need no stinkin' cons***ution!!

Here are the By-laws for my club ..... DRY HEAT GEEZERS By-laws I. Purpose: A. There is no purpose for this Club. II. Membership requirements: A. Prospective members must be a Geezer. According to Websters New World Dictionary of the American Language, Second College Edition, a Geezer is An eccentric old man or, rarely, woman, however, this Club will not consider Geezerettes or females of any kind, for membership. (It is common knowledge that the correct term for an eccentric old woman is Old Biddy and if they want to start their own club, they can call themselves that!) B. Prospective members must have an old car that sometimes runs. C. Upon entering Geezerdom and acceptance into the Dry Heat Geezers, each member will be a Geezer for life. III. Officers: A. Oldest member is President for life. B. Second oldest member is Vice President. C. Bullet Nose is Club Secretary and Club Treasurer forever, and will keep all Club funds in a secret foreign bank account in Algodones, Mexico to use as he sees fit. IV. Meetings: A. Meetings will only occur when two or more Geezers are present and Club business will not be discussed during such meetings. V. By-law Changes: A. I like my club -- and it's rules -- better. There is no cons***ution, no by-laws, and no rules. There are no regular meetings and no dues. Membership is by invitation only -- and all invitees automatically become President-for-Life. If there is a purpose it is to enjoy old cars, drink beer, and have fun, but the order in which we pursue these interests is situationally determined. We are the "Dead Peckers" ... and we RULE!
