The Coolest Wagon!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 2tall2beahotrodder, Mar 4, 2005.

  1. I know the guy that built this thing and it is BAD A$$...the price is super reasonable and it is a solid ride. this guy (aaron) is an up and comer for sure. he has a great eye and the skills to back it up.

  2. Sounds like you guys are BOTH friends of his! Hahahaha... :D

I mean seriously... and "up and comer" with a car that was built like that? A pillars look off, had to use lexan for a windshield, had to use a tilt roof (it takes more skills to do one right)... sometimes I think people are just too easy to please...

its also been on ebay like 5 times in the last month...
    hmmmmm

*i would still drive the hell out it though!

  4. We all had to start somewhere and he is getting better every car. I guess you were born with the skills you have. Either way it is still a nice car and worth the money he is asking for.

  5. I wasn't born with ****... I learned it the hard way... self taught... I just want to know what qualifies him as "an up and comer" when his calling card is a clapped out hacked wagon...

The coolest wagon is a 57 buick Caballero, so that can't be the coolest wagon. A**** other reasons.

I can appreciate alot of stuff but that thing is .......

the roof is horrible, All he did was chop it and lay it on the ground and squirt black primer overall the dents and rust (it looks like he did no body work or repaired any dents. ). Its a cheap wagon version of JJ ride.
the reduced crown is a good thing.. There I said one nice thing about it....

Squigy you are too kind, even if we were only talking 49/54 wagons.. I can not lay claim to that ***le.. there are others that are cooler.. may not be as fun to drive but they are cooler..

Aw jeez squigy, leadsleadolds just got done sayin' the coolest wagon is a '57 Caballero. So, does Boones' '53 Chevy look like a '57 Caballero? This is becoming VERY confusing for us senior citizens. Why is up?

  12. I'm sticken to it I have seen this ride and it is a lot cleaner than the photos show.. I did not mean to insult you I was stating an opion that this guy has talent and he is getting better all the time. thats it.

If you think the car is **** so be it but as someone who has seen it and knows a little about the car it is a good car.

since the subject is "Coolest Wagon", I thought this post should have a cool wagon in it.

Glen, nice wagons to be sure. Thanks for the pics. I can appreciate the effort that goes into transforming something mundane as a basic wagon into something stunning with wow factor. And that '54 wagon does'nt have it.
Crude at best, cooler than stock but lacks true craftmanship. Slicing and dicing does'nt garrantee a well proportioned car, no matter how much effort is put into it. Everybody has to start somewhere, but you have to develop the skills. Some maybe more artistically inclined but you are not born with it.

But it has a new gas gauge!!!

Too bad he hasn't taken the pride to clean one other piece in the pile. I like beaters, but not when EVERY piece is beat, dirty and as found. I've seen better steering wheels in the trash- and who doesn't at least spray a fresh coat of Orange even on the tiredest of mills? Looks like Godzilla stepped on it.

But for all the *****ing he just created another hero car that would make a perfect cover for OL SKOOL RODZ (just needs the wheels sprayed red!).

The waves in the quarter panels are my favorite!
