I finally got a chance to look at the computer...been a busy day! thanks to HRP for the fun visit and lunch...was great to get to meet you finally, and get to hear some more stories

The cruise control died, so I got to spend some time with my right foot on the throttle. The return spring was too stiff, and my foot got sore from driving, so we stopped at a parts store and got some more springs, got it working pretty well now.

We're not in Arizona any more! It's so green here...and so many trees....

Got the the hotel before dark, and of course spent hours in the parking lot BSing with the other racers.

Forecast to rain tomorrow starting around 11 AM, and on into the night. So registration will be fun, dealing with the weather. Usually it's a hot sunny day. Oh well.

That green stuff you see is called nature. We’re really fond of it out east. We also don’t have to fake it like the westerners do. ;)
Good luck for the rest of the week! Happy adventures.

Went to the track early enough that we got through the registration line well before it started raining...but didn't get pics of hardly any other cars, too busy talking with folks.

We got Numero Uno. This is based on what time you sign up, on the internet, in the spring time when registration opens. I cut a good light this year

    Father and Son...to cool!!
Always wondered how those dash mount mirrors work as opposed to the typical locations of a great percentage of the other 4 wheelers out there...I'm just curious, never driven one with that feature...

I've got some catching up to do you guys are fast...:D

  16. My '61 had that feature. My dad worked with a guy at Grumman, one winter morning the guy was supposed to pick my dad up with his '61 Belair. Guys often carpooled then. It snowed, a dusting and the guy cleaned the car and let it warm up. He goes back into the house, comes out and the car is GONE... it was found a few days later, out of gas.

Took a while to get that feature perfected and they still disappear...

I too thought it was a worn out key and by the time we got our hand on them ole Chevys they had one helluva lotta miles on them and the keys looked like it too...:p

It was pretty cool to be able to tune into drag-week on YouTube and see Jim's red Corvette.

  22. Has anyone seen Jim make a pass on the live feed? I tried kind of fast forwarding through the last few hours of the feed and didn't see him, but I could've missed it somehow.

In @squirrel defense, we have trees here in Arizona. We call them "Sage Brush". Congrats to him for including us in his trip, sharing his great time slip, and giving us a shot of @HOTRODPRIMER so we can see that he is doing better.

I guess reaction times don’t count for anything? You’re just trying to get a best average ET? It looks like a lot of fun.

After that long drive and everything you've done to the 'vette that's a great pass, Jim. Well done. Now get to work on that 60'.....;):D

Interesting / funny text at the top of the timing ticket?

Which lane were we in Jim, right? Either time was decent with the number of passengers on board!
