I look at your door and keep seeing this logo? Did I miss something? I think I have to take an intermission break...
Logo for "Kroil, the Oil that Creeps" A friend gave me a can and I was so impressed with it, I decided to use it as a "theme" for the car. Thus, the "Kroil Creeper"
Bought these at the Dragstrip for 25 bucks and figured I'd play around with them. Had to cut up the driver's side because of the steering box and shaft- didn't work ( way too tight). ================================================================ I ran a thread on here asking for pictures of "A"s with fenderwell headers and saw a picture where someone had run them right out through the spare tire wells on the front fenders. $180. bucks later, and some slicing and dicing and we got headers, Houston.
Time to play with some paint (bored). Figured I'd try and match the orange on the Kroil can, so took some Kubota Orange and tinted it with red oxide primer. (?)
Took a break from my stuff to make floorboards for "blindowl"s T-roadster that we were taking to The Race of Gentlemen. We drove down following Pete and his brother with Pete's '32 5 window. Had a blast- lots of pictures on here and U-Tube. Both cars did well.
On ebay they have plate toppers that say Creeper. You might need one for this project Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Mike, looking like you have come along ways since our last visit. When I get home I am going to try to get my 37 pick up done so I can take it to the HAMB drags in August. Keep on keeping on. Tony
Loyal to Kroil... soon to be blowin leaves off the laneways in Massachusetts... Nose high... Its a Gasss... Enjoying the build Mike Goood Stuff
Tried some more "custom" paint. I think everything being orange will be overload, so toned it back to doors and grill shell. Still on the fence.............maybe some orange hi-lites here and there? And of course some lettering and striping by my friend Ted Kiley.
Ronnie "Wheeldog57" came over Sunday and helped*****on up the last of the drivetrain and hang the starter. Got some odds and ends to organize and I can start wiring ( VERY BASIC - ON/OFF ) and mount the fuel cell and battery. I got my windshield glass cut and put it in last week ; Thanks, Dave at "Ocean Glass" in Hampton, NH! Trying to hang the headlights so they're not too high up- made some tabs and put them on upside-down?? I don't know what the bar came off of, it's pretty beefy ( maybe a PU). The Dumbo ear fenders definitely need the support!!
random shot of****-end (hard to get good pics inside- if it ever stops raining, I'll get it out for some)
