Anyone near The Dalles Oregon that could look at some seats for me? Tried looking up members in The Dalles and nobody in or near there has been on here for awhile.

I'm about 85 miles north of there and Think we have a member that is closer but not that close.
Do you just need someone to go take photos and look them over or ?

Guy has some delivery seats. I'm hoping someone can look them over and if they look decent, help me with shipping. Seller has no interest in dealing with shipping. I'm about 4 1/2 hours away. Trying to take a day off work is not possible this time of year.

I'm 90 miles West, but pretty long drive to look at them for me. Why not ask the seller for lots of pictures, plus some measurements to confirm if they'll work?

I'm not sure where you are but Even from Neah Bay it is under a 7 hr trip. I don't have any place decent to keep them or I could pick them up and bring them to Toppenish if time is an issue. Well, I do have a secure carport that I could wrap them up in a tarp in if need be. Mileage varies but with two drivers it can be done from most parts of Washington in one day.

I can get there and back in a day for sure. I was just there in April. Unfortunately I didn't see the seats for sale until after I got home. I can't get away from work again for a month or two. He's also not willing to hold them. I even offered to pay for shipping if he'd just drop them off at UPS. He doesn't want to put any effort into selling them it seems.

I can Take my pickup down and get them if you want to buy them. They probably won't fit in my HHR. Then stash them safely until you can come after them. I'm game for a road trip down there anyhow.

Don't blame him for not wanting the shipping hassle. I do it enough to just hate it, and have stopped selling anything the buyer wont pickup face to face. I've got a brand new pair of fiberglass '39 Chev rear fenders I had advertised in a couple locations as face to face, and got probably 20 people wanting me to ship them. Shipping is only a small part, it's collecting insurance when the shipper damages stuff that's almost impossible to ever get paid for.

Thanks for the offer. After trying to figure out a way to get these, now that you were willing to help, they sold this morning. Oh well. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

I agree. Shipping is a big pain in the butt. I try to make it as easy as possible though. I asked if he'd just drop them off at UPS. They can call me and take care of packing and shipping. Costs me considerable more but sometimes that's what it takes to get what you need.

Well I guess I won't be getting a burger in The Dalles this week. There is a place that I have been wanting to check out and see if their burgers are as good as they claim.
Remembering back in the Washington Blue law days when no beer was sold in Washington on Sundays my then Step father would often load the family up in the car an make the run to The Dalles so he could buy a case of beer and then we would often end up having a picnic in a park there and make a day out if it.
