Probably one of the best kept secrets in the hunt for traditional hot rod parts... Bell tube axles are still somewhat available, and fly under the radar due to their likeness to the very similar Super Bell tube axle. So what's the deal? How do you tell them apart? I don't really know. I do know I have seen original Bell tube axles sell for $400 or more. But I have also seen them discounted (literally) at swap meets all over the land. So can you guys answer these questions... When were they made? Who made them? How do you know you have a real Bell tube axle? Post pics if you have them! I think guys would like to see some old ads too! Sam
I found this thread by Neal... Seems there was an axle made by PSI that was almost identical to the Bell. Hmmmmmmmm... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=558940 Sam
