  11. Sorry, that's not a custom IMO.... Wheels & lowered with full stock trim is not a custom.

    I have to agree with Steve on that. 100 percent stock bodied cars are not customs

    The boxed-top '61 Impala is really interesting, I'd love to know if that started as a hardtop or a convertible, and who built that top, also for what reason. Like they wanted a 58 Thunderbird style roof on the Chevy. Wild, and a cool old period picture too.

    That's an after market fiberglass top for the convertibles. My buddy had one years ago on his '61 Impala convertible.

    I suspect that Impala is actually wearing the top off a 58 "squarebird." That top happens be sharp in my mind, as I've been watching Bad Chad chopping up a squarebird on youtube this week. He wanted to alter the top and make it look more like the short tops on the 55/56/57 two-seater T-birds. He cut the back of the top loose and slid it forward a bit more than 12 inches to create a new look. See if you agree with me, that it looks much better with a shorter top:

    My Dads 1948 Ford mild custom. Nosed, decked, shaved, lowered w/skirts, shortened hood stainless, and of course 16” caddy hubcaps.
