Unbelievable there are people who think these years are ugly. I think any Packard done that way (even a four-door), would be super cool.

Well, that front end has quite a lot of different proportions going on, maybe that's why.
I dig the fender flares on this one!

    Howza Bruthas-

I have always loved a really good mild kustom. Here is the ass end of my '59 slEdsel.
Look closely. Those are '59 Chev cat eyes in the original Edsel housings and that is a '59 Edsel front bumper used in the rear.

I have NEVER seen this done before. It works. It is a perfect fit. You saw it here first.

By the way, the car is under a resurrection of sorts and will be out and pounding the NW in the mid-Summer.

Loose the three chrome blobs on the rear fender, IMO :)

I've seen it done, and you'd be surprised how much they do to break up the mass of the fender. So many early '50s cars, when completely dechromed, just end up looking like beached whales.

The three "bottle openers" signified that the car was a higher trim model -- a Patrician, or something. The basic Clipper model didn't have them, and looks better without them:

I disagree; I think it makes the flanks too thick. But to each their own.

That Santa Claus Packard is sweeet! I, agree with Bigcheese327, leave the rear quarter trim on! However, the deck trim could definitely disappear, ...as could the hood emblem below the Swan, ...but the Swan has to stay!
