Hey 'Mo, We got home at 2:15 this morning with our "Project". Not quite as nice as I hoped it would be but then they never are, are they!! I'll start a build thread when we tear into it. IMG_2095[2870].jpg

@Rick & Jan I did some work on your Merc. Since it was raining I didn't bother to unload her.

Yet many would call this "Just a lowered stocker." Fortunately, most of that crew have deserted the board.
I love the single tail pipe. (Only on this car!) Big finned Plymouths (maybe not Fury's ?) could still be had with a flathead six!
A real "Fred Flintstone" meets "George Jetson" era in automobile evolution!

I find it weird that they'd do all the work to render that '58 Plymouth without a front bumper. I don't know why it would be worth the time to draw in accurate bumper bracket/pan holes if you planned to add the bumper later, just odd. Still pretty neat though, damn fine work.

  11. I don't know anything about Forza, but I would guess that you can "customize" the cars. The stock Plymouth images do have the front bumper. Here's another one without it, maybe to "look" like a rolled pan?

"I have wavy hair, one's waving goodbye to the next" is what my Grandpa always said. Now I know what he meant....

"Car has hot ignition, chopped flywheel." (For you old timers.;))

I'll get a link out there as soon as I start this build. Right now I have "Buyers Hangover". Some of us have gone thru this before. You know, Pics look good, the Guy sounds pretty straight, answers your questions, then you drive 800/1000 miles and things aren't the way you hoped they'd be. But because you came this far, and with the car already built in your mind, you say to your self, OK , it's gonna take a little more work than I planed on but I can handle it. Then you get home at 2:15 in the morning, pull into the yard, shut down, go into the house, take a shower, go to bed and lay awake till the sun comes up, cuz in your mind your still building this car. The hell of it is, it's not the car you thought you bought. Close, but a lot more work than you anticipated, It is still the same beautiful car that you built in your mind, just gonna take a lot more Time and Money. Guess that's why we do this, even at 72 , with Quad By Pass, Arthritis, and several back Operations, I still find away to get down on the floor and "Do this Shit"! Y'all take care>

  22. 72? Dang, I would've never guessed you that old. Hope I look as good at that age!

Zoom in tight on this rear shot...this thing has some serious multi-line striping going on!

I'm thinking that the '55 trim is a real nice touch on this near stock custom Ford!
