    I like the "minimalist" look.

For some reason, I really like the contrast of a chromed out highly detailed engine in a dark primered hot rod.

Mikey, the dual 4's look great! You still seeking a 6-71? I'd say you nailed it already.

  6. Thanks Steve. Yea, I am always looking for blowers. Working on the interior now. Making it more 60's show car like, and more comfy. Putting in the KILMAT today. Since I was racing all the time I did not have sound-insulation or carpet because of weight. I want her a little less bare bones inside now.

The engine compartment is my favorite part to do on a car/truck. In the process of freshening up the 322 in my '49 Merc, engine was put in by the last owner in 1956. First pic is what I started with (well, I had already removed the Edelbrock Elite air cleaner), and I got some paint matched to the body. Ground off all the casting numbers, and got all the aluminum pulled off...now in the process of polishing and painting.

This was the 401 in my '63 Riviera when I got done with it, started out as a butt ugly stock piece.

And my '60 Coupe Deville's, also started out stone stock. Got the paint custom matched to my pinstripes.

I recently removed my engine and trans and gave them a once over. New paint on the Flathead and some polish on the trans.
