@anthony myrick I got one of the clamp rite jigs and picked it up at a woodworking show. I use the copper windings off a generator motor to make it more traditional
I'm pretty geeky about using period parts. I use old NOS and used parts (a lot of vintage aviation) that are correct to the time frame of my car.....down to the attachment of my gauge cup.
I have one of those expensive fake generators that I wish I didn’t do now. I miss the voltage regulator on the firewall. The Wilwood pedal assembly looks nice with mooneyes pads but it leaks and makes me wish I did an early pedal assembly now. I really hate electric fans.
I settled for making my car "geographically correct" with the use of a bunch of Robertson head screws. Otherwise, just say that this is how a 50's car was built in the 70's.
I absolutely love Wittek Clamps, but the thumbscrew type, not the the kind others have shown here. I’ve put them on all my cars and I love to collect them. I usually have some for sale, like these.
