Well it has been rite at 16 weeks since I Started the Roadster from scratch and it has been a journey but well worth it. With a 2 year old daughter , a 3 week old son, and a full time job this has been a build that i will never forget. This weekend I finally got it out and drove it like it needs to be driven. First actuall ride out of first gear was Friday afternoon. I put about 5 miles on it before I started having some Trash getting into my fuel line. We pulled the tank off Friday night, cleaned it out, finished the floorboards in the front, floor mat cut, mounted the seat, adjusted some carb issues, tightened bolts, and then tightened some more bolts. Made a spreader bar for the front also, Tracking is about 5/16ths off So I will adjust that, tie in a couple loose ends, adjust the brakes again, change the valve covers and I am ROUNDUP BOUND!!!!!!! Heres the pics to prove it
I think I'll just sell my coupe and build a rod all by myself in 16 weeks...you guys are havin' way too much fun!
Dude, that thing looks really nice.. Building a car in 16 weeks, and juggling personal life nice job. Jimmy White

Rusty Glad to see you got the tank cleaned. The car looks great, and should get you to Austin in style.... Be proud...you accomplished quite a bit in a small amount of time....
Thanks everyone, I am really excited. It finally hit me last night when I pulled it into the shop to go inside. I sat there looking at it and amazed that I did it and it was finally rolling for good. The hamb is great. I have learned alot here and with the want to and the desire anyone could do it. Thanks to all the ones that have sent pics, answered my questions, shared there knowledge, etc. The biggest thanks goes out to my wife and family and my Pops (Dirty2) He just thought after i turned 18 the grey hair would stop. He did not realize that 10 years later bulding these hot rods I would put more stress on him.
Rusty - that looks fantastic. Glad you busted *** and got-r-done.............can't wait to see it in Austin. GREAT JOB to both the 'Dirty's'........................
Kongrats on the completion of the roadster. I'll be looking forward seeing it this weekend. Happy Trails, Mick
