Well here is my new roadster all mocked up and ready to tear back apart to finish all the welding of the ch***is and fine tune all the areas that need attention with other parts out of the way,. I hate this part mainly because the car goes from looking like a car to a pile of parts again. But it will all be worth it when I'm cruising it around with my favorite girl next summer . Here is the final ***embly shot to remember and a couple shots of the floor before I weld the pieces togeather. Oh, and never mind the wheels and tires they are just rollers with the correct size for the stance.
Man thats pretty ! It the firty time Dirty31 has done this. He is building a coupe than has to tear it down.
very nice dude.. nice fabrication on the floor and firewall. what's the drivetrain? It almost broke my heart when i had to take my T back apart for paint.. But it's even better once it goes back together...
I've been hearing good things about this one, and knowing the quality of your work, I'm sure it's gonna RULE when done!!! But...what happened to the OTHER shifter?!
Looks prettttttty darn cool Rudy. 2 questions for ya. What happened to the rest of henrys car? Are you and Denise planning on going to the Jalopy Showdown again this year?
Hey Nick, the rest of Henrys car is under a chopped 28 tudor sedan that has been in his family for 40 years. Only problem is big Ol Hank doesn't fit in it, I think he is gonna build another roadster from the body I traded in on the steel one. And yes I do hope to be slinging mud once again with the So-What crew, also I didn't get Denise as muddy as I would have liked last year . Thanks for all the kind comments, I really had a hard time this summer not having a car and really look forward to the new car for next year. I'll post the re***embly as I go.
The plan for the engine right now is a rebuilt 283 from a 60 Corvette, with 3 94's and a duntov cam, should be just right.
Too Cool Rudy, looking good too, If it is anything like the 40 you built it will be top notch. Please keep us posted on the progress. I met your son at the Goodguys event in Texas. Seems really cool, Had the HAmb discounts posted on his streamline stuff he was selling. Like that Aluminum axle too
that's why i never tear 'em back down but, then again, that's why your's will look better than mine! lookin' real good!
