My Duece coupe was sold to a HAMBER in Arizona. He took delivery today and he plans to get it on the road with the least amount of chages possible.

I'm going to miss seeing it at the Pileup. It is my favorite 32 EVER!

I know you didn't want to sell it but I'm glad you got some money and I'm really glad it went to someone who understands it and will keep the HAMB up to date on it. Congratulations to all of you.

    What part of AZ?

And who the hell would live in Killeen? Spent time at Ft Hood in '71-'72. Is it still a dry county?

I just hope the new owner is aware of and respects the history of that car. If he is a HAMBr I'm sure he does. Like anything else what you own you can do what you please with it. In this case with the car so complete the way it was origionally modified it would be a shame to for it to loose all of the character and become just another '32 5w. I say this as if '32 5w's were real common which they aren't. My dream for the car would be to redo it the way it was and bring it to the HAMb drags for it's first outings. Not too realistic I know but old hot rodders tend to be kinda sentimental about the old cars with history.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. It was hard to see it go but I couldn't watch it sit in the lean-to anymore. It has been hidden for 41 years, it was time. Still haven't found the nerve to tell Bills' Widow that I sold it. Lifes a bitch, and then you die.

Tom...glad to see you found a home for the coupe. I was in Jefferson yesterday for the swap and was asking wingnuts about it. Cant wait to see it resurrected.
