Certainly not least! I collect that art. That's something we'll never see in advertising again. More's the pity. It's that stuff - and Art Deco building murals from the WPA - that helped turn me retro in the first place.

I love that comic strip! I'd love to see a graphic novel written about hot rods and customs.

    Hey Brush,

love the comic stripe, who, what and where can I get it. Also, I have a few copies of Auto Art. When did it cease? Whenever I go magazine hunting I still keep an eye out for it.

    Thanks,
    Sean

Wasn't that Flatlandman's project? Probably side tracked by the moves Sask to BC to CA

And once again I bring my meager offerings to the alter of artistic endevor.

Jeff, just picked up the R&C with the Heally in it. Great stuff. Big Motor, Little Car = HOT ROD. I remember a lot of that type of car late 60's. Great work!

Couple of bottles from this week. Friends of ours own a wine and tapas bar, first one was a gift for supplying me with the empty bottles to paint. Panevino is the name of the place.

Motta is my personal favorite, what that guy can do with acrylics puts me to shame.
I hope to post something this week if my day job doesnt eat up my free time.

...and anoooother...They just keep on going...with variations, so I'll leave it there. ;)

What I need to do is stop farting around in the real world and start doing some of these variations on the computer.

.....then again, I dig the real world look to them. There is a little messyness that is nice.

    I like both. :D

A lot of cool stuff this week already. TINGLER I always love your stuff....here is what I did.... it was designed to be a tattoo for a guy from Iowa. The tattoo was based off of a painting of mine that he liked and had me make a couple changes...I was all hand drawn and then colored in photoshop.

    the tattoo design:

the original painting it was based from:

  30. Oh that...just kinda stalled and was never worked on any more.
The story line ****ed *** according to the French publisher. It did look really cool though...
What the **** to do the they anyways? There is also real messy story behind it but we won't go into that will we Jeff! ;)
All I can say is that "Papa was a rollin' stone..." Viva El Lay, Vato!

Maybe one day I'll drag this project out into the light for another go...just not yet.
