  6. Watching a old 1971 episode of The Persuaders ( five miles to midnight ) where Tony Curtis, Roger Moore and Joan Collins  steal a 1930 model A pickup in Italy. Next scene is the getaway and the car becomes a 1932 Euro Deuce pickup with the obvious suicide front door. Next scene it,s a Model A again.:rolleyes:

I've developed this sarcastic saying when I watch movies, especially if it revolves around cars ( because that's what car guys do).
The producers would probably have said "Oh well, maybe nobody will notice".
    We notice!

I recently found this 1932 Ford French Big truck owners manual.Quite rare as it combines the 4 and V8 in one volume.According to the World Wide Ford expert he knows of no other country that combined them. The V8 in 1932 was not introduced in commercial vehicles until quite late in the year. Here are some pics. There are 2 illustrations that are not of the Big truck.

I wonder if they made one for vehicles sold in Quebec?

Not according to the leading 32 expert in USA.He has written a 2 volume book on the 32 Fords and in his 40+ yr career with Ford in S.America and Europe was not aware of this manual.

    Thanks for posting. Great stuff!
(FYI someone hacked the Euro Deuces page on Facebook & I cannot get it back. Looks like it's gone for good.)

The hood side panels differ, top ones are a bit like a 30-31 Ford, did they differ from country to country or change during production? Good to see the European versions.

Some very early, pre-production ‘32’s were photographed with the Model A styled hood sides but it was decided those would be sent to European assembly plants. When those were used up the regular sides without the extra embossing were used.

I’ll look for a Ford factory photo of a pre-production car, I know there’s at least one that appeared in one of the Lorin Sorensen books on early Fords. As soon as I find it I’ll post it.
And best wishes to you too for a healthy and happy 2024.

20231231_195611.jpg On page 87 of The Early Ford V8 as Henry Built It by DeAngeles there is a pic of a 32 roadster pickup with the raised panel hood sides.

^^^^^^ now that is something you don’t see everyday, (never actually seen one).
I didn’t realise that they made campers that far back, the inside of it was well done.
And at 17,000 km - (10,563 miles) that may just be the lowest mileage deuce in the world……bttt

So I am curious as to what the headlights, bar and also bumper are off ? None of it is Ford as I know it. Perhaps added later, (or perhaps unique to a particular country)?
