Clem, They are unique to the Model 14. The instrument panel is also different, not in the center but above the steering tube like a 33,34. Sheldon
With due respect, the Model 14 Ford is a UK creation and unique to UK.The lights are British,Not French.
Thank you for the correction, I appreciate it. I see the difference in the Marchal and British lamps but the shape of the buckets and similar divider in the lens led to my misidentification. Regarding the Bosch lamps it would appear they used the Ford Commercial buckets and stainless headlamp doors with German electrics and lenses.
The only Model 14 body parts that interchange with a '32 are; Grille and shell Front splash apron Hood tops Rear frame horn covers Fuel tank
Here’s a few more photos, showing the lamps with the correct diamond shaped diffuser inside, and on the glass itself. I’ve also added a pic showing the dropped headlight bar, and the offset instrument panel. Excuse the dust on the car. It’s in storage and some building work was being done close by
Allways wondered whats the reason behind frosted glass headlights on vintage British cars while vintage French cars have clear glass headlights.

Slightly off topic for this Euro Deuce thread but just as interesting. A 1938 French Flathead V8 Matford Convertible. On PWC now for 28000 euro
Those are ultra rare, one of the reason being a wood framed body, only for the convertible, not the sedans.
I,ve had two Matfords and i would have a guess at 7/8th the size of a American Ford. V860 and wide five wheels all the same. Then again i have seen one full size Ford branded as a Matford . I think the smaller Matfords all had those ugly headlights in the fenders.
Yes the US Fords were imported in France between '35 and the war as Matford that's why. He was selling also Mercury, Lincoln and Fordson. From 1912 to '35 it was Ford then after the war it was Ford again from 1946, but for '46 and '47 we're talking about this time about a modified Matford sold with the Ford badge. So from '36 to '39 there were no Fords sold with the Ford badge unless imported individually but with the extremely high import taxes at the time it's unlikely. The Matford Alsace has a wheelbase of 285cm/112" and a track width of 148cm/57". For the one after the war it's 275cm/108" and 142cm/55". A neat feature is that from 1935 to 1939 as far as I know they used the US 1935/36 ford style rear wishbones, after the war I don't know. I just got a pair for €60, it beats the $400 they go for in the US...
Those are not the correct head lights, they were switched out by one of the previous owners. There were 2 different Marchal head lights for Fords in '32,Standard and Deluxe. Those on the car resemble the standards.
