This sunday I went over to a friend to help him tune the engine I built for him recently, only to find out it's backfiring AND shooting ducks in the exhaust at the same time. I'm afraid the valves don't seal pretty well and the stuff has to come out again... :(

Tonight is my Sunday night, got a lot more done on the '57 Effie, today. Hooked up with my pal Frank, who's got a place on a big, green lot in Bayside (2-story late 1800's home) near Arcata, and has a bachelor house wth a sweet shop attached in Eureka. Am gonna help him sort out the tons of acculmulated parts, seals, tools and so forth. He's been trying to talk me into renting the house & shop, but I'm no financial shape to move, which is a shame because his old fashioned shop-attached-house would be a sa-WEET upgrade. A bud of mine is in much better need of a home & shop, so am trying to talk that option into him, in case my bud were interested.
For now, got an overview of what we're to do to move around and sort, then he'll help rebuild my 390 (has tons of Ford and FE parts 'n knowledge), along with other help on the truck.
Then cruised "Donna" over to Jim's (friend from the dragstrip) for some bench racing and deeply-buzzed philosophies, while looking at the space in his modest but cozy garage where the race car, which is on its way from Ohio, will sit in its new home, 'til we prep it for the Samoa Dragstrip.
