Here is a concept vehicle that I never quite got over. Sometimes I have to gaze at this pic for a refresher. Still looks cool almost 10 years later. Timeless actually. Ford missed the boat by not producing this instant classic. I'd say this is a rare HAMB friendly new car. Your thoughts?

I don't think I would go as far as call it HAMB freindly but if Ford had produced it I would be driving one.

I never really understood why Ford built that car, but I loved it then and I love it now.

Would have looked beter with windsplits and a bullet grill....and maybe some skinny whites.

It's wheels and tires away from being about perfect for me.

The actual `49 Ford looked like a bar of soap compared to the competition when it came out I'm sure.

Looks better than that ughh! retro T-Bird they did produce, and likely would have outsold it by a hundred to one.
Gotta agree, it really needs the windsplits and bullet-grill to give it stronger identity, as is, although 'smooth', it is just a little too bland generic, 'could be areo anything' Tempo Topaz in my view.
But IF they had produced it, we certainly could've taken care of that little oversight. :)

Heck, even if that whole backdrop was a mural on my garage wall, I'd be happy. I like the car, have had a pic of it from awhile ago, but two things stand out: 1. needs better wheels, and 2. needs the center bullet.

I loved this car, its unfortunate it never hit the****embly line. It always crosses my mind. Too bad Ford didnt take a different approach to get it done.
