...been MIA, my club and I were helping with the swapmeet at the Byron, Illinois Glory Days event this weekend.
...thot I better throw somethin up, so here's a couple of "A" trucks,...great show this week with some good discussions...

 

Sadly, I never got to meet Pat...but came close. Pat was only with Street Rodder Mag for about 5 years, and was already gone by the time got involved.
But, I had done a cartoonish, Rex Barrnet type cut-away drawing for Bud Lang of his '36 roadster... and Bud told me that Pat had seen it, and was going to contact me about doing a similar drawing of his '32 Chevy..I never heard from him.

 

That's unfortunate, and time is not always connected workwise...he certainly had a surreal connection to Hotrod/Custom. I follow him for his connection to the Bigger picture and he had the best quality pics of many of these cl***ic rides...Standalone exposure and knowledge...

The Jim Griepsma Coupe is one of my Favorite Hotrods...in any of its several faces...and Pat had the best historical coverage of this Diamond...I have seen...
