    Hello,

We all want to be “different like everyone else…” ha! So the search for old cars that no one or only a few hanging around was a great game to play prior to making a commitment to the long drawn out build. So, at the time of the photo of the 35 Chevy sedan hot rod, the same style truck was not as rare as an metal shop teacher who could not weld a nice bead for demonstration on welding.
upload_2024-7-12_3-13-1.png The 35 Chevy sedan was a rare build, with the majority being Fords. But a 1934-35 Chevy truck was definitely a rare hot rod platform to say the least at the time.

Perhaps, the shape and styling points were part of the reason very few if any built hot rod old Chevy trucks as the hot rod project.

As I began to draw the top truck as looking at a 34-35 Chevy sedan, I noticed the front top of the roofline was different. The edge shape was slightly squared off and when changed to a smoother shaped curved edge, looked different, but, better… IMHO

with the usual load of stuff in the back, it takes on the shape of a low stance, until some air shocks come into play.

or a cool lowered rake to give it some attitude… YRMV

Finally got around to turning a friend of mine’s drawings into files that we could use to cut parts in steel. Should have the actual parts soon. These are for his three small kids to have signs they can hang on their walls.

    Happy (FAS) to everyone.
Fellow HAMBER'S @hotrodjack33 and @Okie Pete, have been following along on my build thread over on the Antiquated forum.

The subject is what I call, the "BUCK ROGERS" space nerd rescue beacon.

There really isn't any other name to describe what the unit is.

So that being said, you all have the ability to go check it out for yourself.
The title of the thread is "FORD COE HEADLIGHT UPDATE"

3 pages of the build, from the start, to where it is at this minute. I think you all will get a kick out what the unit is.
It truly is, "Functional Automotive Art"

All I had time to do was a quick sketch this morning. I’ll post it shortly. In the meantime, here’s an old but goody Pontiac punch…

Here's a little Sign/Garage Art, I painted for my Friend Mario's Birthday a few years ago.
I put all of his cars on it, when I gave it to him on his Birthday his eyes got a little watery!

I am a huge fan of the female form but @Jigger you really captured the inner HAMBer here. A can of PBR on the fender would be a wrap.

Thanks Billy. He used it for his oil filter cover. Love the suggestion, I think I'll add it. Ha ha

Do you ever notice when you see a car you have owned or driven passes by and you can see the image of the dash in your head and it puts a smile on your face ? it happens to me alot .Just some thoughts from my brain lol ! I drove my dad's '59 Fleetwood with my 3 sisters to his funeral last year. He used to let me drive weddings in it for some xtra cash back in the '90 s. We used to go to Detroit every summer for years to visit relatives, all 6 of us .So it was cool to drive it again.70 k original gramps bought it new.
