Sorry, I wont apologize, from time to time the smart ass hoodlum in me, rises to the surface, and tries to express itself in humor, I am sure that Jack Murphy, @hotrodjack33 would understand that.
    Thanks from Dennis.

    Hey Dennis,
Thanks for the shout-out...and you're absolutely right, contrary to popular belief, being a "smart-ass" IS a socially redeeming trait...at least in my distorted world:p.

Nice to see @57 Corvette ~ Bob ...too bad he had to see the "watered down" (everyday), relinquished to the nether-regions Friday Art Show.
Unfortunately, the "bloom has left the rose" for me.:(

    Thanks Dan, Much appreciated.
But let's be honest, I joined to the HAMB because I've built (and drawn) Traditional Hot Rods (and customs) my whole life. and have very little interest in the "Off Topic" forum ...or participating in it... waiting to see how it all plays out here.

Jack from what I see it is mostly traditional stuff, with some muscle cars in the mix. I do think most are here because they appreciate traditional hot rods and customs. We will see. I sure hope it continues and doesn’t go away. I love the art. If too many true artist leave it won’t be good. Jack I guess what I’m trying to say is that your art is bigger than you, it transcends you, it becomes a part of this community. Sometimes we have to accept things as they are not as how we wish they would be.
    Sincerely
    Dan

  10. If only the art show could be what it traditionally had been but I will repeat, I am thankful for the artist who do continue to contribute. It would be very easy for the HAMB to pull the plug on it and that would be a true shame. I keep coming back and will do my best to return with new work, following the original guidelines. I’ve been contributing since 2006 and saw things at their peak, I remain grateful that we have this forum to share any of our work, so many other forums have come and gone but the HAMB remains, let’s cherish it while we can.

One of the great things about the Art Show is the vast array of art. From the stuff I have posted of my stuff and my grandkids stuff - Kindergarten grade art both literally and figuratively- to very high end art is accepted and enjoyed. I was amazed that my stuff was liked by some very talented artist of whom could do better stuff with their eyes closed.

  23. I'm still getting used to heading over to the other side of town to visit the Friday Art Show gallery, but it is worth the trip! Our HAMB artists put together another great show this week. I'll venture over here again to enjoy future shows. Thanks folks!
