It happened last week as well.....I didn't mention it then, but since it has happened again, I thought I should say something. Glad they like my artwork, but a mention of name would be appreciated ..........

It happens from time to time. Th mods will usually deal with it if it’s brought to their attention. @Moriarity , Mark’s rule is for folks to credit the artist so , though this is probably someone who’s a fan of your art, it will probably get deleted.

yes, It was always my understanding (and I am no expert) that this thread was supposed to be for your own art or art that you personally owned.... @Jeff Norwell ??

No..If a member shares an image that is art(whether that be photography, sculpture, painted, etc etc..) nothing wrong with posting it...... that member can simple state..
"I am not sure who has done this but I wanted to share"

Chances are someone will speak up and give that piece credit to its Creator.

.... or something along those lines....

    pretty simple.

Here we are again and its the (FAS).
The top drawing is a pen and ink line drawing I did of a friends old chevy pick up truck, and the bottom picture is how the line drawing got digitized and turned into embroidery on a canvas bag, and I hand painted all of the colors with Jacquard fabric paint.

Wishing you all a Happy Friday (FAS).
Thanks from Dennis, to all that continue to contribute to the (FAS).

    Hello,

My brother and I grew up in the Westside of Long Beach. Supposedly, by the time we were driving, there were a few lowered to the ground cars. We****umed chopped coils or for the custom car guys, early hydraulic systems. Most of the cars in my brother’s older teen group had mild rakes in the side profile.
    upload_2025-11-7_3-10-5.png
But various things prevented the extreme lowering, like side lakes pipes or just the gas tank, body parts and other items. A single cut coil usually did the trick. A trial and error 2 cut coil situation cost us a set of new springs. So, there is that.

A mile or so closer to the Lion’s Dragstrip in another part of the Westside were the center of mild custom cars that had the extra suspension system for their needs. It was interesting to see them go up and down when stopped at the red lights or red stop signs. There was this huge neighborhood park that everyone used for sports and large family picnics. It was a perfect place to cruise around the whole perimeter in their custom cars, with the stops at the corners bringing on the crazy up and down motions.

At the time, no one had done a moving raise or lowering the car as those early hydraulics had not been perfected with better controls and building systems. So, everyone thought the raise and lower at the stop signs was the coolest thing.

upload_2025-11-7_3-13-48.png A mild rake was all it took for the style..

One of our neighbors had a lowered Chevy sedan. But it was not a ground scraper. Plus, it was a 4 door hardtop sedan. He had the best open air cruiser as the 4 door hardtop had a super wide window roll down area to attract flowing air into the folks during the summers. But, adding the custom touches and possible hydraulics made it fun to see them in action.

upload_2025-11-7_3-15-15.png super low Dave Bell style…
