Hey @themoose I am always impressed at the detail that you put into your creations. At first I thought the engine in the kick ass Econoline was a Ford "cammer". I was looking at what I thought were dimples in the valve/rocker covers, but upon closer inspection, it was the reflection of the zoomie headers! Now that is truly attention to detail ! Thanks from Dennis.
One is finished, the customer allowed me to share with you guys.. Other one is way off topic and it's just a sketch that i'm currently doing for fun. Happy Friday Art Show everybody!
I went to school at STCC in Springfield for Automotive Technology. Went to the Dial Tone In Enfield Alot! lol
@41 GMC K-18 Thanks for the complement Dennis! I sometimes get carried away with too much detail but most of the time it turns out OK. One thing for sure, I love looking at all of the talent that's demonstrated here on the Friday Art Show.
Happy fathers day guys .are any of you in New England going to the fathers day show in Hyannis ,ma? On the Cape .I've seen a lot of cars from RI and Conn in the past.
So we have a little beach in my yard behind my garage we made to hang out at the fire pit so I made some cool things to hang on the fence , but I came up with a cool way to make solid color metallic, I sprayed a dark charcoal base coat then after it set i used a regal blue and the charcoal and sprayed them both at the same time! It came out really cool ,my wife loved it .kinda has a fade to it .
Happy Fathers Day! Ya filthy animals! . I'm off to the fathers day car show I'll post pics later in off topic thread .
Same count here. I found four aliens checking out the impressive woodgrain on that Ford truck! Thanks to all of the folks contributing to the show!
1972 Chevy Nova two door Nomad Wagon with 409 power and could have been a sleeper, even with slicks… Hello, Back when our son was 5 years old, we decided to go on a 2 week long road trip up the coast, campout at various places and head north to San Francisco. My wife and I had plenty of early memories of driving up the coast during our college days and afterwards when we first got married. Those places were/are still in our clear minds at this stage of the whole game. It was fun back then and when we decided to involve our son in his first long road trip, But, the small station wagon we had was not the long distance road trip type of car. With our savings ready to go, we needed a reliable car that had plenty of space. When our mom heard of our explanation of going on this road trip, she decided to loan us her pristine 72 Chevy Nova Sedan. It had tons of room and the trunk was huge. Large enough for all of our camping supplies and the newly purchased seam sealed dome tent. At least it was light weight and not the heavy canvas tent we took to Santa Barbara. Jnaki But, as large as a mid size sedan can be, it was not a station wagon. So, during our road trip, we encountered a very strong wind in half moon bay cliff top camp site. After dinner, the tent was being blown over sideways, despite the stakes and lines holding it up right. I had to put in extra pegs with extended ropes to keep the tent from flying away. So, we zipped up the tent and sat in the Chevy Nova sedan until the wind died down. Since that moment of strong winds and barely enough protection without being blown over, we had moved our car in the direction of the strong winds and that helped with the anxiety. But, in the morning, the calm was a destructive sight. Stuff was all over the place and it looked like a trash dump site. It would have been nice to have a station wagon as we could have stretched out and had a nice sleep, despite the strong winds. YRMV There was no two door Nomad style Chevy station wagon in the Chevy line up and so it was missing its sleek style. We were not yet into 4 door station wagons and so, the newly though of two door wagon was implied as the answer to our hot rod ideas.
