  1. Happy Friday. Today is day two of the big move. The long-roofs are an appropriate theme…

    Hey @Jigger
I see that you appreciate the cool 60 Ford Country Sedan station wagon, my friend owns this one that he acquired recently to add to his huge collection.

    IMG_0207.jpg IMG_0206.jpg IMG_1584.JPG IMG_1579.JPG IMG_1582.JPG IMG_0152.jpg IMG_0153.jpg IMG_0154.jpg IMG_0155.jpg IMG_0156.jpg IMG_0157.jpg

When it came up for sale online, it was one of only 3 that were for sale in the USA. and the person that my friend was bidding against, was made aware that if bought, it was going to be shipped to Sweden.
So my friend, simply cut to the chase and out bid him, to stop the bidder's ability have it go to Sweden.

My friend has deep pockets, so the 25K he spent on it to get it, was nothing to him, his wife spotted the car for sale, and she really wanted it, so that all came to be!

Except for the tires and wheels, its all original and dam near flawless, I have put first dibs's on it, if he and she ever want to sell it, but I seriously doubt that will happen !
At least with this forum now, I can post these shots of it with out fear of the pictures being deleted because of wheels.
Thanks from Dennis, for your drawing of this one year only model style of this amazing wagon!

    Wow finally made it here
    and
    it’s never been better

as we age change can be difficult to deal with
    but
time moves on and the only constant is change
    and
as for the question are pictures of cars art?
    can words be art?
Either way the like button will answers that

Never posted before, because off topic. An old scribble (2014) illustrating why Bullitt 2 was never filmed.

    Hello,

Drawing roadsters in class for the El Mirage Races and Bonneville is difficult, since the styles differ. The standard full bodied roadsters are the winners in the original concept for using old hot rods modified to race. But, in taking a hot rod 27 T-roadster and converting it to a drag car, then modifying it to a semi streamline body style is a work in progress. Here is one concept for faster speeds with a few streamlining and body changes.

The roadster goes through a lot of modifications to end up with a mid engine SBC motor and 671 supercharger behind the driver. Who, now sits under a canopy to keep the streamlining to the most possible means.

Even the push truck has a chopped top for its own streamlining, as much as a truck can have and still be able to sleep in the rear bed compartment. YRMV
