Great show last week, and this is looking to be a good one this week as well.

Nothing Halloween oriented that's new, but I have been busting on a poster series. When I was in school I was highly influenced by 20-40's design periods and I fell in love with some of the Constructivist work I saw. I wanted to try some themes out in that style.

Using the classic addage that I've seen tossed around both Hotrod and Motorcycle promo stuff, I did some drawings that I in turn turned into posters.

I was trying to harken the WW2 poster styles with a commie (kamikaze) appeal. So nothing here hugely original since these types of things have been blowing around for some time, but I wanted to take a crack at it. I did spend a lot of time drawing these things out. I also just noticed the new Juxtapoz covers by Fairly Shepard which also heavily employs the Constructivist style.

Also, I'm working with coolstuff on a couple of ideas as well for a zine. One of the posters should be used as a cover for an up and coming issue.

And drigging up an older painting just for the season:

    Enjoy!

Monster, I love the "life-like" frankenstien painting. Great work. Also, I am sure you had quite a headrush while working on the gasket sealer piece

Skatefink, Tingler ( the new B&W stuff looks great) T-bonz ( Your striping continues to amaze me), 1-shot slinger ( I have always dug your style of art) Surf Monkey ( i can't believe i forgot to mention your colored pencil work, looks better and better everytime)...thanks for your kind words, support and encouragement!

this was my first attempt at Chrome, doing your home work really pays off.

Dutch courage ...dig the lucky 13 pick-up.
Gabo ... cool clors and image.
ubermustang ...your shading and texture rules.
widewhitewalls ...very Obey style which i'm very fond of, love the style/idea behind your work. Do you have Shepard's new art book? I just got it, it rules.

This is great. It would be awesome to have these done at the end of every week. Understanding this is a huge project, but cool to see the results as if in a gallery of all the work. I don't blame you for not wanting to do every page.
