Bring it down to Dallas for the geezer reunion in Dec McCroan would be proud of you...not that he will be there..
I loved the early FXr's and Funny cars and that car epitomizes the birth of that era in drag racing! "Right On...! Is the drivetrain ready to drop in? What's the estimated time to completion?
Stuck the mock up block in waiting, for mounts so I can get it setting in the right spot. Then I can cut the stacks to the right length and cut a hole in the hood.
Looks great. Love seeing cars in their "as raced" state verus "as built". And I also enjoy seeing a car lettered by a sign painter and pinstriper...not a vinyl cutting machine!
I'm no MOPAR guy but I do love the 64-65 LEGAL A/FX'ers and not so legal match bash MOPAR's. It looks awesome, maybe someday you can haul it east a ways to the "MELTDOWN DRAGS" in Byron Ill.(aka Rockford dragway)
Got a little bit more done took a couple of tries to get a windshield shipped that wasn't cracked.I finally got a good one and cut the hole in the hood and cut the stacks to the right height.
looks great make sure you tape those stacks. when you hit the gas they will stay in place when you let up it will send them flying without the tape. even just running in the driveway. if you need help setting up the injectors you know how to get a hold of me. i have done several.
Wow thanks for the offer Brian!I just might do that when the time comes.I'm taking it to work tomorrow so I can rivet the bells onto the stacks like the original had.
