Well I "pecked away" at the Corvette yesterday.
I did pretty good I only got aggravated a few times
I was trying to get the old gas tank out of it. I am trying to get the cross member out from under the tank but it is not cooperating. I soaked the nuts down with P.B. Blaster I also got the bolts on the front Calipers loose. and I soaked the rear calipers down.

 

Well here are a few pics from the garage. Going to paradise Saturday hopefully I can find something cool to add to the collection

 

Got the truck loaded getting ready to head to Paradise dragstrip to the swap meet and drags tomorrow.

 

I'm loaded up & ready too. Looks like perfect weather this time...bit on the cool side in the morning. Hope to see you there!

 

look for this truck in the swap meet and I will be there. One of my buddies might be watching the booth as I may be making a lap around the swap meet

 

I love the "in town" car shows/ cruise nights, lots of nice cars. Thanks for posting.

 

Have been following both of your threads and congratulations on keeping your family involved. If more parents were like you and your wife, we wouldn't have so many crimes by created by these young kids. Wish you well in the future!

I also notice you sell car magazines. Would you (or anyone else) have the June 2010 edition of Chevy Classics magazine? If so, I would buy as many as you have. Can PM me if you like.

Me to our local Cruise in has usually 5 to 700 cars per month depending on the weather

Went to Paradise Dragstrip in Calhoun Georgia. Rat Sass was there. He is a very cool guy here are some pics of his car.

I APPRECIATE THE GREAT COMMENTS. WE NEED TO PAINT THE CENTERS OF THE WHEELS THEN HE WILL TAKE THEM TO A SWAP MEET AND TRY TO SELL THEM. I AM TRYING TO TEACH HIM HOW A LITTLE BIT OF HARD WORK CAN PAY OFF. A FRIEND GAVE HIM THE WHEELS TO SEE IF HE COULD REFURB THEM AND SELL TO PUT THE MONEY IN HIS CAR FUND.

THAT WAS A COOL CAR

 

Here is a pic of my Grandfather on my mom's side of the family. This pic was taken yesterday at church I don't remember if he will be 89 or 90 this year. He is one of the guys that got me interested in old cars.

He drove a MARTA bus around Atlanta for a lot of years. He lives next door to me now.

 

The '56 in the other lane is Shawn, a fellow Southern Outlaw Gasser & really cool car! Not sure if he is a member here or not.

 

Well I almost forgot about what we bought at the swap meet Saturday. I found a guy there that had a Blow proof Bell housing I got a deal on it that is another piece for a future gasser project. I also bought a box of old magazines stuff from the 50s thru the 70s.
Ethan found some Hurst shifter handles he wanted, And I bought them for him. He made all As on his report card so they were his reward. I told him to keep them or clean them up and resale them the choice was his.

 

Well I hope everyone has had a great weekend. I had big plans for today but I haven't done anything but try and troubleshoot a dishwasher
Yesterday we went to my daughters basketball tournament. After the games we went to our monthly cruise in.
after that we went to the local Stevie B's pizza place for dinner. There were some people from the cruise in there and I got the kids a couple of rides around the parking lot in a couple of Tri-5 Chevy gasser style cars. I will post some pics tonight or tomorrow.
Now I am going out to the garage and try to get the gas tank out of the Vette.

 

Thanks for sharing enloe. You have a nice family there, something to be very proud of. I dont have kids and not a lot of family left, so I really enjoy the pics of you and yours.
