With rain and chilly temps in the Thursday forecast, I'm leaning towards taking my wagon. I now have a friend riding along and I would prefer to be warm and dry. Cold and damp rides in the roadster are miserable. (Almost seems wrong to NOT bring it to this show, but it is what it is.)
For those coming in from the east, rain is supposed to push south out of the Springfield, MO area after 1pm. Bartlesville is only 3 hours from here, so should you should be dry after lunchtime. Still cold, but dry.
What a kool ride.. The show is 12 miles west of Bartlesville, Ok at Woolaroc https://www.woolaroc.org/ I'm trying to find out if they have reached their 250 mark. I have friends that are just driving up to see the show. Lot of kool stuff will be parking in the spectator lot. I'll let you know as soon as I can.. Hope to see ya Saturday.
I don't have a car to bring up this year, but I will sure be there! I'll be taking the short drive up from Tulsa first thing in the morning. After a weeks worth of rain around here, the weather is cooperating and it is going to be a gorgeous day.
I think the 250 Mark happened a while ago. You can still pay $14 and enter the park. Just not assigned parking as I understand it.
Should see you guys sometime today. Still no power here at the house, but borrowed a generator to get my car off my lift.
Or stupidity? I actually didn’t even consider it until I finally got back to working on finishing putting the transmission pan back on which I started right as the power went out Tuesday. We finally got a nice sunny day to where I could see what I was doing to put it back together. The things we take for granted...
Congrats to everyone who was able to make it. Stay safe and have fun. Wish there was something like this going on in the Mid-Atlantic.
Welp, today is day 5 for no power , due to the ice storm. We cancelled our reservations for the hotel, but we are coming Saturday morning early. 2020 can bite me.
Mickey keep an eye out for my Aussie friend Les in his Model 40 33 Coupe. He now lives most of his life in Texas and is living the hot rodders dream. Les also has a history here in Australia as one of the top drag racers in his 55 Chev.
Thanks for letting me Know, tomorrow I’ll try to find him and let you know. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
