This is the email I got; Hope you are as excited as we are that October 1 is getting here. We just wanted to start putting out the information on trailer parking. PLEASE NOTE: The gravel lot next to the Hilton will only be available after 5:00 on Friday. That belongs to Phillips and THEY WILL TOW before that time. Below are two lots with the gps address that will be available Thursday on. Artunoff behind the baseball field 201 N Johnstone Ave. Bartlesville, OK WMC (Westside Manufacturing Center) by airport 500 US-60 Bartlesville, OK Bartlesville has been so helpful every year on our event and we want to do everything we can to make sure the information gets to each of you. Thanks The Gathering Crew
I will be headed to Bartlesville in the roadster two days after getting back from the Old North State Invitational in the coupe, can't wait going to be well over 2000 miles of windshield time. Hoping to see a lot of old friends and meet some new ones.
Looking forward to being there this year. I’ll be getting there Thursday and camping at Osage Hills State Park.
Is this a Ryan show? I’m coming to meet Ryan someday, we have some words to write together. I don’t even know how to tag anyone. Plus he likes Porsches now and that is my shit too. Xoxoxo
depends on your expectations. I went last year. Staying at the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Price Tower was the highlight for me.As for the run, once was enough. I’ll do something different this year
@Germ i think @Ryan is friends with the guys who run the show and was maybe involved with… I don’t know something, in the early days but doesn’t have any ties to it now I don’t believe. far as I know Ryan is state side currently….
I was thinking about trailering, but I think it'll be way more of an authentic experience driving the 500 miles each way from Lubbock. If anyone here is also driving up from Texas shoot me a PM and maybe we can link up.
I helped the guys early and was gonna be a partner, but then Covid hit and I bailed. AND… I can say with 100% confidence - The Roc is the best car show ever held in the state of Oklahoma. No question.
Yea, I might have been a little sarcastic in my question above. I have been to the first three and am entered again this year. Jason and Brandon do a great job with this show.
Definitely worth the 1500 mile round trip drive for me, one of the top three hot rod events of the year. Should be a bucket list item for every traditional hot rod and custom enthusiast.
One of my favorite events each year, put on by some awesome people. I'm grateful to be able to attend such a show that brings in so many friends from around the country who all just happen to have badass rides! You can see all of the photos that I've taken at the show here: https://royboyproductions.smugmug.com/search#q=gathering+at+the+roc&c=galleries And the video from last year's show here:
I could resemble that remark after living in the state since ‘87... I guess I was forgetting riding around in a pink car with my kid taking pics last year.
I'll see all you hoodlums deciding if it will be a Roadster or old faithful Cabriolet...I'll flip a coin Either way, a banger road trip....
