You'll see what I mean after viewing "Design For Dreaming," GM's promotional film for the 1956 Motorama. If you look real close, I think you see the Atomic Punk show up in the kitchen.

Most old movies predicting the future seem sort of corny and stupid, but it's amazing how accurately this one predicted the rise of the GMBs.

On the other hand, watching that girl prance around I found myself thinking, "oh yeah, I'd tap that." Then I realized she's probably in her late 70s by now. And likes men with tuxedos and phantom-of-the-opera masks.

 

Now I'll be singing that song all day...........................

 

It would be interesting to interview her now and get her take on the whole thing.

Okay. Silly, interesting from a historical perspective, but surely we can leave the "Gay" business by now? It just makes you seem childish and ignorant. I agree w/5 window.Never mind the special effects that were ahead of their time,Never mind how the people were nicely dressed,Never mind how wonderful the new cars were back at a time when you could go to a dealer & order the car you wanted w/the options you wanted.
Gasoline didnt cost 1/3 of your paycheck& you werent paying $400 a month for 6 years for a car that cost $90.an hour to have fixed.You didnt lock your doors or your car,There were not baby ****rs in every neighborhood and a mans word--was his bond--.Only ignorant people had tatoos & the only thing w/a ring in its nose was the neighbors bull..
