I've been an expert in demolition since I blew up my first 3-speed at age 15. Pain and suffering have visited my knuckles far too often. Right now my left arm is wounded from a valiant battle against an AC hose bracket. The weapons of war, the 3/8 ratchet, the prybar, the cutting torch are my tools in trade. Woe to those who encounter them, many a functional part entered the shop, only to leave patched up and modified. With those honors bestowed by the gods of road grease and leaking gas I still feel weak when I see the terror of the Giant Mantis, the Tarantula, the Blob, and most terrifying of all, The Attack of the 50 ft Woman. I have a hell of of a time with my 5 ft tall wife. Back to the security of my garage where I can feel safe and comforted by my tools, dormant engines, and collection of old useless junk. Klaatu barada nikto.
Just finished watching it, can't believe I've never seen it before?! Cool cars and cheesy monster, mid century B film at its finest
....................I'm with you, Andy. Oh the heartbreak! How can one explain, "My '40 Coupe was destroyed by a giant Gila Monster"?...........Oh yeah, let me know when the cookies are ready.........Don.
"I ask you the time and you build me a clock..." I guess Chase did know what he liked better, the white walls or black walls. It kept showing up in different forms! The scallops on the T-bucket were perfect, just enough in the right directions. Love these moldy old B movies. Cl*** dismissed...?
I still watch the MST3k'd version every other year or so... The robots making stuttering, backfiring jalopy noises every time a hot rod pulls up have me rolling every time. "that looks like somethin' a fella could put his knee up on!"
Now that you made it through The Giant Gila Monster... refresh your popcorn... take a leak and settle back for the second half of the double creature feature !!
Don't forget the Previews of Coming Attractions where the Giant Claw ******es up the hot rodders... The monster is pretty sad but it stars ******* playmate Marla Corday & she might help you stay awake !
I can't believe I sat here and watched anothe B-movie becase of what Ryan wrote. Bad-bad influence. Well, gotta go back to work now.
bought another video tape of this for 50 cents in a thrift store on Halloween watched it through and have been trying not to put my leg up whenever I talk ever since
I remember seeing this movie on "The Akrey Creature Feature" when I was a kid. Anybody else from Iowa remember staying up late Saturday night watching "B" horror movies? I don't remember what Chuck Akrey was selling (house siding maybe) but I always remembered this movie. A couple years ago I found a dvd with this one and three or four Flash Gordon movies on it-had to buy it.
