Back in the late '60's a friend of a friend had gotten hold of the old Bill Champion/Red Farmer #97 early '60's Hemi powered stock car. They had me up under the back of the car doing something when they lit it off and goosed it a couple of times. That is not a mellow sound. Sounded good once I wasn't between the open exhaust pipes.

Have the Rodders Journal poster of a bright yellow and chrome blown Hemi on my office wall. Need to find a similar poster of a multi carbed flathead and an injected SBC (factory or Hilborn). To me these are the 3 iconic hot rod engines.

Why...?

It's British engine design, so not out of place at all.

As I've already pointed out, it's a 4.5 litre Daimler V8.
