Growing up in my dads wrecking yard, during the 60's in the San Joaquin Valley was a fantastic experience all by itself. I would have to say that the most fun I had in the past, was when I got out of the Army in 75, and grew my hair back out got back to my hippy status, and bought a very cool old 56 International S-110, retired Bell Telephone Line Service truck. The picture above with the arrow shows me working on the truck at my dads wrecking yard. I had a lot of fun in that old truck, a lot of great memories. Also, back in the late 70's, working in Alaska with a DC-3 crew, hauling fish from King Salmon over to Kodiak island, was a great experience, that I think of often. The last picture says it all, me looking back, wondering where all of the years went, and the image of Marilyn Monroe laughing back at me ! I can't complain at all, I say live in the moment, and cherish the past, and be cautious when traversing to the future ! Everything old, is new again !
...watchin the ES&W orange&white 55 Chevy bangin the gears at Byron Dragway in the 60's,....end bolts on front bumper never put in, watched that bumper wiggle up n down with every shift!
In everyone, there's a child who never dies. In every man, a little boy. "You can't live in the past." Yeah, but I can visit.
