Great to be stubborn enough to finally say , " Hey it's time for me to finally do my project not yours , " And you won't find me while I'm working on it so no distractions . It's getting done away from home and shop . Socking away 32 Tudor parts like a squirrel and I hope my best doesn't ask me for a sewing machine or something ... Hi , it's been since May 5th when I started the teardown and just got the crank out aoment ago after 129 hours of actual work . Freddie had sit outside without an oil filler cap for 20 years so I knew what had to be one of the worst crankcases around . That's the art of it and have always carried a strong faith in the quality of old iron . It's just been great as compared with an LS motors metallurgy is just not solid quality . So here is Freddie now after spending $1300 onfolling Freddie's own toolbox with all new quality tools and petroleum penetrant only . I used FreeAll , Sea Foam Deep Creep and two small bottles of Marvel Mystery so far and 129 hours labor . I have been over this engine 2-3 hours a day regularly . It's of tapping to vibrate things loose and then soak for a couple days then back at it again . Yes all valve assemblies are out and none to be reused as all are frozen . Now with the crank out I can concentrate on the cam , lifters . Everyone has helped and we thank you as what a blessing you all have been . I keep you posted . Have a great day and keep your foot in it
Hi , hope this update finds you well and happy . Joking about the custom lightweight pistons and a little progress is good so got another lifter loose but still stuck think it mushroomed so I stopped and went for the connecting rods today and this is a no heat project so it justade for more fun and great results
