    I thought you guys might like to see some of the cars in The Great Race, they had thier lunch break at a friends farm outside of Purcellville VA, heres a few photos, some cars are from other spectators, the Great race Cars are all stickered up. 003.JPG 004.JPG 012.JPG 019.JPG 022.JPG

    That’s a cool event. Saw them when they came through my town a few years ago. Quite a variety of cars and a neat mission. Thanks for sharing.

    OJ, that 32 roadster in the first pic with the Duval windshield is the same car I told you I saw at Katie’s. I wanted to go but couldn’t ! Too bad, thanks for the pics:)

    Yes, it was quite the piece, those two roadsters together pegs the 'Holy Shit' meter.

    That's cool. I did this on a high school team 25 years ago and I'd love to do it again some day. Surprised they are letting cars run with radial tires, unless those cars are in a special class? When I did it they were ultra-strict with period correctness, we got bumped up 2 model years for using the wrong parking brake handle in a Model A speedster.

    The cutoff year for participant cars at that time I think was 1948. Of course, that was a 50 year old car at the time. Now a 50 year old car is a '74.
