Thanks I thought it was on my end. No worries from the beaner, you have always taken care of us from where I sit and that's good enough for me.
LOL I remember studying the Binary System because computers would be the wave of the future. back then they said that a computer that could store the same amount of information as the human brain would fill a building 3 stories tall and as big as the state of Texas. I raised my hand and asked why not just use a library, that got me detention and I had to finish the class on my own in study hall.
When I started College at MCC in Waco in 1975 the computer had it's own sealed glass enclosed room in the middle of the building. IBM punch card class was the hot class to get into and I took one math class where the instructor tried to teach us the binary system. He was the same one who sad "Math is fun" and told us he and his girlfriend sat around on weekends and did math equations. As far as the HAMB being a bit slower or not my internet connection is so freaking slow that I would never know if it was running up to speed or slow.
I wonder if he was part of the equation. LOL When I worked for Electrovert in the '70s the computer was in a clean room in the main offices. When the AC would lay down it was me that they called on. I still remember going in the change the t stat once and sneezing while I was in there. A week or so after that one of the really smart people said something about corrupt files and a virus and thinking that if anyone found out that I was in there and sneezed I would get fired. Duh'OH We have sure come a long ways from the old Atari bulletin board days haven't we.
I was gonna say something a few days ago, but I've been trying to tone down my assholiness...the new, kinder me of 2016
My summer job in college was running demand deposit, checking accounts, for a bank in Memphis on the midnight shift. The computer was an entire room with a raised floor for cooling the monster. Had to sort the checks and then run the trial balance. Each hard drive was a multi plate unit that I think had 25K memory each and would have to change them out when they got full. My phone is more powerful now That was in 1969.
Thanks a lot Larry,I just sprayed coffee all over my laptop, now I gotta take it and have it cleaned out,the keys are sticking! HRP
I thought it was me. My old "traditional" capooter died on Tuesday!!! They say Internet Explorer 8,9,10 laid down on about 1/3 of the people worldwide. Darn, I was just getting to like my Windows XP and IE7. Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10 die on Tuesday -... http://thenextweb.com/microsoft/201...-internet-explorer-8-9-and-10-die-on-tuesday/ Please forgive me guys, but I had to change over to the new OT turbo-charged, electronic fuel injected, independant front end, foreign "Foxfire", (or what ever they call it) just so I could get back on here. It does run good again. LOL
