Cool- welcome to the HAMB. I was more into Maiden back in the day, but I listened to Poison as well. Hell, if ya wanted to get the chicks, you HAD to listen to Poison! "Every Rose has its Thorn" is still one of my all-time faves.

This is to weird. Our musical taste will change with age, motorvation the same. No screw that, always FED's & altereds. [IMG]

So now it's Sobberbone, Drive By Truckers....

My point? I pretty much dig a lot of genres, depends on the mood. But. Just Mon. a girl at work who knows I like to compile CD's ask me if I'll make her one. Sure thing, get me a list. Top 3? Poison, followed by Motley, Nugent, Warrant...I said girl, but hell man she's 30. Means she was a baby. And she's not alone, they tool around and crank this stuff. It all comes back.

I mean I still say "bitchin".

    Welcome. Bitchin.

Know anything about adding structural integrity to fiberglass bodies? [IMG]

I can't bash Poison. I've seen ya about ten times here in Indy and three or four of those were in the last ten years at Deer Creek...not the 80's but I saw ya then too. Good fun music with a tight band and a great live show. Can't ask for more than that. I'd still buy a ticket.
Lots of great musician car guys....Bon Jovi is another. Even the Nelson boys were into cars as I recall!
Anyway, you'll get lots of asskissin for that alone but the fact that you are into the good cars and bikes is all ya need. Welcome aboard. Love the audio art, Let's see the visual art!

Poison RULES! I used to rock your shit ALL THE TIME! (Even though I think C.C. played the SAME guitar solo, in a different key or at a different speed in every song! [IMG] [IMG])

This is just plain frickin weird!

I never listened to much Poison. However, I think I went to one of your drum clinics?. I was listening to far, far gayer music in the 80's (Ministry, Thrill Kill, REVCO, etc.). The great thing is none of that matters. This place is all about old hot rods. So welcome to or should I say back to the damn HAMB.

heh... I remember the hair band days... nowadays that would be too dangerous. Get too close to an open flame like a torch or the forge, and WHOOF! There goes the hair. [IMG]

Never was a HUGE fan of Poison, but I liked them. Their music was fun and enjoyable. And their makeup always looked so good. [IMG] What?!:! It did! [IMG] That was the fashion of the day... much more interesting to see than the Grunge look.

C'mon Rikki... let's see some more stripes!!!

    Oh yeah... welcome! [IMG]

You seem like a cool enough guy and I hope you stick around. . . but it is sort of disingenuous to claim Poison to be "punk" becuase you were "out there" with your look.

c'mon. Poison was apolitical rock about hedonism and pop chart record sales. . . there is nothing wrong with that. . unless you try to make it something it isn't.

There were other bands at the same time that were not as interested in record sales, thier "look", or MTV exposure but were pursuing thier own vision. You sold more records and got laid a lot more than Fear or the Minutemen . . you should just enjoy that. You don't need to appropriate and erase whatever else was going on in the underground at the same time. You are a monster of rock and that is cool as hell . . leave punk to those that have lived it.

  30. not like fear wasnt pimping them selfs out, i remeber seeing lee ving on whos the boss, the decline of western civilazation and the movie clue.
