Very tough Car!

2. Look for it again this year!!

Thanks Jon!

Thanks-

What, you don't like my hoodless shoebox either? I was trying to be as cool as Greezy! I even painted the firewall white! Ha Ha!

Thanks for the hoodless support!

LOL - I guess I wrote this story better then I thought I could. It's the diary of a man that has it bad for another mans lady. I waited until Troy was separated from her to make my move. I had the utmost respect for his lady! And we are having a blast!

Yea thanks, and I got those parts delivered here too. It was one big car and parts relay for sure!

I respect your opinion.

And I agree 99.99%.

But this car is a .01%, and just looks bad-ass without a hood.

thanks for this thread. I am sooo glad she is with you. I plan on testing her loyalty to you Mike. You know I am just as head over heals for this car as you, but I would have had get rid of my 32 for the ol girl an I just could commit ( yes I have commitment issues)

thank you for keeping this a hood free diet...

Nice '40! I agree though, it needs a HOOD.

Cool Maverick in the background, is that yours?

X2!!
Not that you need it, but here's another vote for NO HOOD!
Two fours on a 327? Covered by a hood? Are you mad?
NO HOOD!

17. I spent the late evening buttoning up the 327, and prepping to pull the motor.

moving quick mike! the interior looks awesome. you're gonna have to do some vid for us when the 327 is back in and running.

then, don't leave that poor shoebox languishing in the corner. get the motor back in that too!

21. LOL, I did.

When I was in Austin at the LSRU I got the boys some Original Greazerz...
Mason threw his on and helped me with the 327 last night..

We got the 350 shoebox motor out and I got the 327 in after their bed time. I dropped the offy dual four intake off at the blast shop this morning to get the red paint off. I set the old valve covers on it and an old intake to keep the dust out. The Corvette V/C's will go back on with the offy intake.

I did, its an old Asen stamped steel one that is huge and clunky. It has a drop out inspection cover with 30 3/8 bolts. I'm going to clean it up with the plasma cutter and the welder a bit and swap it in before the drags. I'm pressed for time & leaving for LARS next week.

Yes, moving quick for sure. The Interior is awesome, check out these shots of the boys in the back seat!

I think the shoebox is going to get a fresh 283 with Chevrolet script steel valve covers and an early stock 4 barrel intake. I have a few people in town that want to buy it.

Nice.

But I think the first cruise in the '40 should be to a BARBER SHOP for Mason...

:)

The interior looks great Mike. It sure did purty it up.

28. You know I agree he needs a trim, and he wants it long. This is one area I agree to let him have the freedom of choice.

The 350..... I have a plan. It's going to come apart, get new h-beam rods for the steel crank and new dished pistons in the 4-bolt block. You'll have to stay tuned for the rest ;) !

THX!

Yes it did, and dyna-liner on the roof too!

Glad you all are enjoying this thread!

I'm sure in Love with Josephine!

She's resting with her feet in the stirrups today. I've had several intimate late late nights with here in the garage. I've retired each session feeling very dirty and had to wash up before bed. After I stabbed the little power plant in her last night, well, we were both a little beat up. I think she likes her new home. I've been treating her right, and she hasn't indicated the man-handling isn't enjoyable. I come home each night with a new sack of goodies from the toy store. I think that helps too. I cant wait to get home and jump in the garage with her tonight!

Your gonna put the ____ on the 350? You must realy like changing engines....:D

30. I don't know, I'm tired! She's wearing me down. I'm nearly ready to fire the motor up. I started cleaning up the wiring by adding asphalt looms. That took a little longer then I had anticipated. And I'm happy with the progress.

Then i was in the gasket box getting water pump gaskets & I found the small oil pan rear seal. Shit...sigh. I put the fat one in. I gotta pull the pan now. &$#%*€<~>%#}<<||#%€£$@"!!!

Better now then Las Vegas.

Off to Dreamland......
