Where do I find the rules? I would really ( no joke) like to find out why I can not ask about the term !@# rods. is'nt it simpley a home built rod? then what should I call what im building?

  2. Your building a bad reputation for the FNG crowd. Your not allowed to complain yet.:p

  3. You cant ask because this site is for TRADITIONAL hot Rods, not Rat Rods. Just because a car is built at home it does not make it either, its the style the car is built in that dictates what it is.

Rat Rods are tacky, poorly built, have bad proportions are stupidly low...... one can go on.
(Rust on a car IS NOT TRADITIONAL!!)

Take some time and look at a shit load of pics from cars from 'back in the day' when Hot Rodding was a new idea. Then look at the shit in mags like 'Old skool rods' and you will see why we hate them so much.

My car is homebuilt, Not a rat either. The term has been overused, misappropriated, associated with everything to hell and back and is thrown around casually by the uninformed masses and guys that want to jump into a "scene" and be badass. It always incites a riot amoung the seasoned builders and rodders around here and is just unaccepted because of it. Call it a hot rod and have fun:)
