Amen, my very thoughts when I read this had happened to Jim's car.
Too much money, no sense of the car or history, and money being the driving factor when it was sold with no regard as to who was getting it. Just f......g senseless:mad:

  4. Nope, not the counterpart... the fenders aren't moulded in and the beltline reveal that goes down the back of the body is still there.

But take a look at the new HRM... I think the counterpart is in the "Survivor" section... it looks a lot more like the Hawaii one...

    Sam.

Not to worry. The car is undestroyed and is more complete than when I got it. I have found original valve covers and exhaust headers. The previous owner took it to a rod shop and took all the original running gear out and put in disks,4 bar, etc. I have a dropped and filled heavy and lincolns to go back. The body was in very bad shape. **** Smith made some panels for it(Ford museum car). Tweety will live!

I found it... I think this could be it's 2500 mile twin. It was built back in the day, and aside from the head rests, floor mats, and dash it's pretty cool...

I certainly won't be doing that to mine.

I plan to make a roadster "version" of my coupe (avatar) leaving it pretty much as is (styling wise).

It looks like a few changes made since 2007 when this post started and the paint hasn't aged well at all. But the car runs great the steering box needs to be gone through. We had the car out at the Dirt Drags in Monta Vista Colorado this year and up at the George town Hill Climb. A hard bump sent something into the fan or the frame flexed 12705409_1218128168215308_2888165960649839323_n.jpg 12705536_1218128224881969_3347210747776210365_n.jpg 12715299_1218128234881968_4127148277512076456_n.jpg 12728781_1218128151548643_2517253380853279873_n.jpg 12734183_1218128081548650_2468779899482233224_n.jpg 13096211_1274290062599118_814363218268917691_n.jpg 13331141_1299535626741228_7991389011468507322_n.jpg enough that we lost the radiator at the hill climb.

I'm really starting to like the look of fenders on roadsters now. Except for how high the headlights sit
