Becca, while on vacation last month I was thinking about you. 40Studedude's son owns this and I thought of you the minute I saw it. It's not as old as yours but cool non the less. Not sure if your married or not but 40Studedude's son isn't married and is VERY handsome. He's not "goth" or anything. Kind of reminds me a surfer dude, longer blonde hair, and VERY nice. Thought I'd just mention it just incase your interested. Also wanted to show you the photo.

    Hey Bec...
Yeah, that's my kid's ride...one of them anyway...and he is good lookin'...but I've read all these posts, including your "bite me" post...and I wonder "Why in hell do you care what people on this board think?" You like that Hearse/sled...THAT IS ALL THAT'S IMPORTANT and why not show everyone what you can do?

And you know that even I've commented on it last time you had it posted up...THE CAD IS COOL...I dig it...and I'm into off-the-norm-stuff (a '40 Stude? What the hell does that look like?) WHY follow the crowd when you can LEAD IT(pun intended)...? There are a few of us that like to see stuff besides hey-I- got-one- too-'32 Fords, Model A's and roadsters...so post your photos...and joke 'em if they can't take a*****!!!

Hmmm...well, guess I missed the hub bub! I HONESTLY like your car because it is
"outside of the box". Anyone with a brain would know that doing your Hearse satin
black is going the "creepy" route...not rockasilly for god's sake. Stay true to your
vision and just let the criticism roll off yer back. The only opinion that matters here
    is yours! Take Care [IMG]

i was disappointed to find that you deleted the pics!
i for one have a more than cordial interest in your project ,i think hearses are great .when i was a kid my aunt was goin out with a guy that would pick her up in a hearse ,it was a very cool car.and i always thought it was cool that herman munsters ride to work was in the back of a hearse.

i used to drive a 63 licoln ,it was flat black and lowered infront , and i always got***** from restorer freaks about the sacrilege i had committed ,and by other dumb****es askin me where the funeral was, etc.
the thing is it was my car i built it the way i liked it and i loved driving it every where ,everyday. i only wish lincoln would have built a hearse with this body style.

There was a silver hearse locally that had the coolest paint job- instead of being flamed front to back,
it was flamed from the Bottom up, the whole way around. Wish I had pics. Haven't seen it around lately.
    Hearses rock.

I like the Caddy hearse, and the Buick hearse and the Lincoln. Why? Because they are not like every other car out there! On the other hand, red wheels look good on a black car, no matter how many there are like it. Just because it's popular doesn't make it bad (or good). So, if you like something, do it. If someone else doesn't like it, who gives a*****? If someone else DOES like it, who gives a*****? It doesn't matter if it's the only one or one in a million, as long as you like it.

By the way, there is a new book about hearses coming out this fall. Here's a link to the info: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=33894730&dcaid=16972

This place is good for thinning out the "lightweights." Becca, I thought you were a little tougher than that? Don't take your photos and hide.......BRING 'EM BACK! The only person that you need to "please" around here is Ryan and it takes a LOT to piss him off! I think you can see that there is a lot of interest in "Friday?" [IMG]

I've seen Becca's hearse up close and it's quite a project It's gonna be so cool when it's done.

Becca, don't let those idiots get to you... I certainly appreciate those who dare to try something that's not a red '32 roadster!

Hey it takes all kinds, and that's what makes the world go 'round, it sure would be a boring place if We all drove the same kind'a car. For those who don't like "Friday" they can choose not to look. Greaser Frank showed Me a 47 Cad Coroners wagon recently and the thing still has the coffin in the back, I would'a opened it and looked inside but it had lots of parts and stuff piled on top of the box, I think it would be cool to make an ice cream truck outta it, I would buy it and paint Coroners Ice Cream on the side( and leave the original Coroners logo on the back), the slogan could be "When You feel a little stiff try Coroners Ice Cream" people would be dye'n to be try'n the slab sickles hahahaha. Keep up the good work looks like Your painter is pretty handy, Ya might wanna keep Him. Von Doc

A friend of mine who owns a motorcycle shop in Huntsville, AL, has a Caddy hearse for his shop "truck". He cut a slot in the roof so bikes can stand up, then lined the floor and sides with metal (hand quilted on the sides). It is very cool. He has "We bring dead bikes back to life" on the back door. Don't let them get to you Becca. Do what you want. I personally am getting tired of seeing satinblack with red wheels myself, so I am running rare Rader 103's with red lines. Satin
