Just??? A Hemi powered 32 sedan??? Like everyone has one in their shop! I have the poor mans version - a 31 Plymouth sedan with a early BBD 383 and four speed, and once I start on it, it will be different.
he,he....Can you take some good natured razzing?.. The first still pic a long time ago, of Keith trying to weld/grind/build the very first chassis in that totally barren "white room"... I recall thinking "there's no way it will stay all pretty and white"...and he sure looked like he was way out of his environment with trying to keep the floor clean with keeping a blanket under the chassis... the panning video today....it now looks like a typical blue collar "shop" where serious shit gets done, rather than a "garage". .
I see he is building a shop of his own. How long until that is up and running? It will be a shame not to have the daily updates of his build like we are currently getting.
I guess there's a good reason why Keith appears to be just a blur in the third pic.... Thanks for the peek inside. I love that kind of stuff. Reminds me of the "Garage Scene" articles in the old R&C.
Yeah, the shop is getting used. That's for damn sure... Even so, it's still the cleanest hot rod shop I've probably ever been in... Formula 1 clean still? No. But still... pretty damned clean. Yeah, I think he's hoping to start moving in a month or two... But we will still get updates.
Whats not to like about it! That chop is spot on and looks real sinister. Add that and a hemi together you get one bad ass ride. Makes me want to hurry up and get to the 32 Sedan stashed in the back of the shop!
I don't know... I believe the body came from Brian Bass... Not sure about the rest... Though the chassis and motor was originally started by Jamie four of five years ago...
Multiple strombergs on a hemi, get me excited! They look tiny, in comparison to the massive valve covers. You mentioned the tranny is coming out. A row-your-own is going back in, I hope? I agree: a real nice chop. How deep?
in my estimation you need atleast 1200 square feet per FULL build/restoration. less than that and it's an added burden on the project.
My build is happening in 272 sq feet and I can testify that the lack of space is definitely an added burden.
Well, I'll be damned, there it is. That Hemi was in Goldfinger, my chopped and channeled '31. Three way trade between me, Jaime, and Mike. We traded in the parking lot of Pistons and Paint about a year before he passed. I hated to part with it, but grandkids needed a ride, too. Pics below of 'da Finger (is it still on the Throttle linkage, I will pay $$$$ to get it back?!!?) and what I traded for. Can't wait to see what Keith will do with it!
Hiboy 32 sedans are cool in my book. Here's mine, old Minnesota hot rod since the mid fifties, 401 Buick, Halibrand rear, old lacquer. Just starting to sort it out. New wheels/tires, new brakes, exhaust manifolds, need to change the headlights and placement, and start enjoying it.
Beautiful chassis... Hey Ryan, how much clearance would you say that has between the axle tube and frame? Looks like a little over 3" but that could be the angle. Is that what Keith usually sets it at? And I know you have a lot of miles on his chassis... How does that work on the f-ed roads around here.
