  1. I have finally got the car on the road and I have to say, its amazing the way this car drives!!! If you didn't know it had bias plys and a straight axel, you would think you were driving a modern car. At 70 I can let go of the steering and it tracks perfectly. I will be driving it while I finish it and I have to say, its the best driving car I have now. And the most fun. Everywhere I go, I get people wanting to ask questions about it. I went into Home depot a couple nights ago and had 6 people including 2 employees. At least some people don't see it as a rat rod. I have no spider webs, no wrenches used for brackets, no rats or spiders and have spent countless hours doing research on the HAMB and the internet to build a car that is very comfortable and safe and fun to drive. I'm loving it. I built everything including the engine, frame, rear end and body in my shop. I will paint it and am trying o figure out a cool color with an accented beltline as the belt lines on this car are killer.
    Here are the details
Heres the drive. I have baffles in it now as it was wayyyyyyy too loud!!!

    Stogy and Hitchhiker like this.
  2. Enjoyed, really nice work.Plate light & steering wheel seem to have the same logo or emblem.

  3. Anyone know what the tail light is from?

  5. Thanks Matt. Still working hard on it. I was on my way to a meeting downtown Seattle and a damned Welch plug blew out of the pressure side of the old Carb. I shoved a stick I found in it at the side of the road and afer a few minutes it sealed 100%. I drove to Mclendons hardware and they didn't have anything and then drove to Napa and nothing. I ended up canceling my meeting and came home. I found a 1/4" piece of aluminum rod, cut off a 3/16" piece and then hammered it to grow it a bit. I tapped it into the hole, fired up the car and all is good. No leak and I staked it in for good measure. I'm loving this car and its so easy to drive. Part of the baffles blew out and now its pretty loud again!! Ugh!!

Congratulations, the first drive is a thrill. Car runs right and drives straight, great job. It has been a long haul. Now some road time satisfaction.
