She's alive, and rattles your brain sounds so nasty. I'm trying to get the video loaded but can't get it to work. this is what I'm doing for the headers, still need to weld em all up.
Hooked up the outer carbs, runs really strong. Finishing up all the little stuff, as soon as I get the axles back she will be ready to go. We got the headers all welded up, cut out and painted.
Great looking motor!!! There were some old Edelbrock VS's on epay the other day and I was wondering what those would look like on a period engine......bingo! Love it!
Thanks man, I drove it for the first time yesterday, everything went perfect. Clutch is right on, goes straight no wobble from the front end. This engine is healthy I'm really happy with it, puts the slicks up in smoke with little effort.
Wow. My pants got a little bit tighter reading this thread. Thanks for posting the progress. A FED such as this is definately in my future. Sometime. One question I have though. Do you just "block" first gear out of the trans or does it physically get 'removed'? Those trannies are usually either cheap or free... and would make an excellent alternative to the 'later model' ones in light cars. JK
Damn Dude.... This thing is So SWEET! I just dig it! The first few pieces for my car are now here and I can hardly control myself.... Cheers, Robert M.
The trans I am using still has first gear but ill be starting in second and then one shift to third. Hey Slick for some reason you plug the video camera in to the computer and it doesnt "know" that its there. I have a video of ChurchKey doing a nasty wheelie at NED that I want to post also.
Joe, It looks awesome, I was getn worried when I didn't hear back about the rear axles. Let me know what you ended up doing? Give me a call. LOOKS AWESOME!!!! I can't wait to see it in person running. Lights them up pretty easy huh?
Not that I was any closer to figuring out how to load the video, but I somehow deleted everything on the camera.
Joe, You nailed it...A lot of good planning, attention to detailing, great results. The car looks fantastic. Can't wait to see you smoking up those Hurst slicks.
Saw it in person tonight...ya the pics dont do it justice!! Looks awesome Joe...and yes I did try ******* it didnt I...
Sweet progress pics!! Can't wait to see the final project!! Keep both feet on the wheel and your hands on the floor!!! WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!
Congrats. Wonderful job! Don (Try video with a normal digital camera. Most will do a bit of video and sound. It is precompressed and easier to deal with for posting. )
I threw a still photo video together real quick check it out...noFilm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVT3EQsuQSc
