    For Your Information:

It seems that there are Coupons for this event at local NAPA stores.

    So... check that out.

Update: it seems that the coupons for the p***es from NAPA are only available at the NAPA corporate owned stores. I have no idea how you would tell the difference... but that is what I am reading now.

I get around.. I just dont give advanced notice so folks dont have a lot of time to load their guns.............

It's been a few years, but I first saw Van Goughs "Starry Night" at the High. I never understood that painting till I saw it in real life. I musta stood ther for an hour. One of those indelible experiences....

  17. Chaz- Give a holler next time (I won't tell)

    Jeffrey- that'd be great!

I actually wrote an article about it for our magazines (I work for AutoTrader Cl***ics). If you check out the May 2010 issue of "Kustoms & Hot Rods" my article is on page 52. I'm going to the media event next Wednesday morning, so I can give everyone a report on what I see then.

    slefain - cool!

Let us know what you think of the layout and... whatever.

Rich Venza - your link does not work. It redirects to charter.net.

To anyone who wanders in later...

All the links to the museum site are included in my original post at the top.

I'm excited about checking this out, I think it will be neat to see.

If any of you go, please let the rest of us know how it went... good places to park, neat nearby restaurants... whatever.

I know for a fact when they expanded the museum they built a big parking deck in the back... as I parked there the last time I went down there for the Louvre exhibit.

It looks like they've either repainted or really buffed out the Tucker since I last saw it.

Thanks for sharing the pictures slefain, now we know what we're in for.

Do they have guides or just a placard at each car with the history of it?

If anyone knows of any good eating places/respectable bars(IE: real beer) in that area near the museum, please let us know in here.

They have placards beside each car with the history on the car.

Go eat at the Vortex, it is a few blocks from the High. No kids allowed, but the food is great.

Oh yeah... the Vortex midtown. I've only eaten at the one in lil 5 points.

Good burgers and a hilarious menu, last time I was there.

Thanks for the information and the suggestion slefain.

As far as i know the light turns from side to side now, the last time i was there it did,
i do all their early flat head stuff and have the good luck to get to visit them from time to time. They still drive the cars at least 10 miles a month.

chopnchaneled - that's neat that you get to do that. When I was a kid I recall watching the Tucker make turns during the local parade day and the center light never flinched.

I know they drive one or two of the cars up to the local cruise in night at Tucker, usually. I saw one of the Duesenburgs up there one night last year.

Well folks, I'm being told by people who have stopped by this show at the High that the cars are pretty neat. They don't have the doors or hoods open so it is just the cars sitting there from what I'm being told. Which is fine with me as it is more of an aesthetic show anyway.
