Thanks for this photo. I don't remember if it was in Inglewood or just east of Inglewood, but we cruised there many times from Redondo Beach and I couldn't remember if it was the Witch Stand or Wich Stand. This photo answers that question.

    Wonder if it's still there.

Downtown Hermosa Beach. Our car club, the Magoos, bought a Olds powered 40 Ford coupe from one of the jazz musicians that played there. May have been Howard Rumsey as we went to his house in Hermosa one afternoon and he was still in bed. The car was later auctioned off to make money to invest in the club's flathead powered Willys coupe.

Big giant snow and hail storm of 1944 in downtown L.A.. The news has been on "storm watch" ever since. You guys back East must be rolling on the floor.

The Yucca Vine Market designed by Frank Lloyd Wright's son, Lloyd.
This photo caught my attention because of the, what appears to be, Model A double door panel delivery truck....my first hot rod in 1966

1930, the Pantages Theater, on Hollywood Blvd. One of the finest movie houses in the City.
My wife and I went to see the play, "Wicked" two years ago, and it still is quite a sight....quite a place

1934, believe it or not, this is a gas station.
This station would customize blended oils together for each type of vehicle.

Although not a native tree, the Eucalyptus trees are everywhere throughout the city.
