  3. Hey Hitch, I found the drop forged steering arm for the push pull set up, plus you can grab the whole 5 gallon bucket of stuff as I just picked up another car and am trying to lighten my load of parts that I might need in my life but most likely will never need. My new car is so close to be road worthy so I want to get it on the road , drive it and have fun while working on the Whip.!!

  4. took this off the wall today to take some pictures to sell it. I stuck it on the A real quick. Not sure what I was thinking. :D

  8. That Grancor intake is the cherry on a flathead sundae.....:D Cool Car!...

  9. Thanks, I hope it will be. As long as I don't do anything stupid it should be alright.

Thanks. I like the intake alot. But I may have to trade it or sell it to get a 3 carb model as I want to build a real fancy motor. :D

I use rear bushings and cut them shorter.

  17. Hey Matt, I think you need another project or two to slow the pace a bit!! Sort of what happened to me. Hmmm Lets see, Whippet to finish or the 1936 5 window to finish!! You can't just have one project!! It's just not normal!! LOL!!

  18. Dude, i need to call you. I totally forgot.

Nice collection of parts. When do we see sparks fly?

  20. I'm unsuccessfully teaching myself to make sheet metal things. But here is a tid bit......

Last time I left off I had slid the replacement rail into the passenger side. I used sheet metal screws threw the original rivet holes to hold it together. I'll completely weld it later once everything fits together. Scroll back a few pages if you need a picture.

I figured the next thing to do would be to fix and attach the passenger B pillar. It looks like this.

So I removed the triangle brace.

And I bought some 18g a few months back.

    and made a pattern.

I then transferred it to the metal.

and cut it out with these( what a PITA, I need something better)

    And started bending.

This was my first attempt..... Kinda embarrassed.

I did all this all with my vice, a piece of 1inch square tube. a hammer, and the back splash of my work bench. It at this point it needed some refinement.....

It's getting late, I'll show some more tomorrow.

Guess you'll have to drive back down to Gene's workshop.

It's always fun making things with limited equipment. Keeps your imagination going.

  22. Shit, without that class I wouldn't have known where to start.

  23. I kept on cutting, and things started looking like this.

    first test fit

  24. But it needs to look more like this.

Shitty picture. But there is a little indent at the bottom.

Model A u-shackles work fine in 32-34 perches.
The 32-34 Fords have a larger eye in the SPRINGS, not the perches.

  26. I just kept shaping things.

next thing you know, I'd cut out the b pillar.
