I've been browsing the boards for a few years, finally registered. I'm a 30-something Kansan with a bunch of bad habits. I run a custom motorcycle paint shop near Topeka called Gr***hopper Custom Paint where I do pinstriping and airbrushed murals for the locals and I do repair work on sportbike peices that are shipped in from all over the country. I ride Triumphs pretty exclusively. My street bike: and I race a Triumph in local Superbike and Supersport races (the ones where we drag our knees.. never could get the hang of that drag racing thing; Triumph clutches just aren't predictable enough). My race bike: I've been pinstriping and airbrushing for about 15 years. Been working for the last 5 years towards getting a new 60x60 shop put up, just got it finished this spring and am really enjoying not having to paint out of a back room or someone's lean-to. There aren't many pinstripers in the local area, but the rod guys sure make me feel welcome when I get to the rodding events. I grew up around street rods and 60's muscle. Father was a welder who was laid off through the 80's, so he hung quarters and floorboards for work out of the 1-car garage on our farm. I've always got something that I'm tinkering on, and currently it's a 37 Chevy Pickup, my 2nd. The first one got a FatMan front end and a 2x4 rear subframe for a pro-tour look. Ended up having to get rid of it in a divorce, so now I'm starting over. Love the site, love the art, and all the great information. Keep it up for sure. The 'Hopper
