That 'box from Sweden has perfect proportions! It's cool when Europeans outdo us at our own game.

Well you dont have to... I will... the 51 Merc is very nice. I have always liked it ever since I found the front 3/4 photo. I very happy to see the rear angle on this one. Personally I dont care for the 59 Caddy taillights, but everything else is very well done and designed. I love the chopped top on this one with the angled back windshield. Sure its far different from what we all know. But its all done with a lot of style and overal proportions are perfect. I'm looking foreward to see this one on the road.
The Volvo is not my cup of thee... but again very nicely and tastfully done.

The 39-40 Ford sedan cought my eye a few week ago when it was shown at a California show (somebody here posted photos of it) If its done by the same guy/shop it proofs the guy is extremely talented. Very intersting styling, and for sure he is not afraid to experiment.

He's a friend of mine, and is VERY talented. His shop is in Lake Arrowhead. The Merc is on hold right now, but look for it soon. The 39 is his, and the more you look at it the more you see. He won 2 best in progress so far. Notice the removable top.

Strodder, you friend is very talented, indeed. His Merc is as innovative today as was Winfield's 'Solar Scene' in its day.

That Dodge is unbelievable! To start with a lowly 51 four door (sorry 51 Dodge guys) and create that, is just amazing, it's what customizing is all about. What an artist.

If my memory serves me well the artis who created that amazing Dodge is sitting behind another project he was working on. The 1940 Buick with perfectly proportioned Padded Top. The builder is sitting to the left.

The Buick was a project that he had at the A-Bombers show in 2007. He showed me a few photos of the Dodge he was still working on back then.
The 40 Buick will be a period perfect custom done in the late 40's style. The chopped padded top has the just PERFECT flow and proportions.
Bert Gustavsson has a very good eye for custom styling

    Hey,

Can any of you building Kustoms in Europe answer a question for me?
Are any of the builders using lead as filler?
At this time, here in the states, you can still find lead, but using it in a
commercial shop can usher in some legal problems, as well as health &
safety. Here in 'The Peoples Republic of Kalifornia" a.k.a So Cal, use is
banned , as it is against health and safety codes. Fortunately, I work
    for myself, after hours.

  25. Wow Rikster, that Buick with the padded "carson" top is beautiful. Great proportions on the top.

  26. Thanks Orn for more Dodge pics. That is simply an amazing car! Fantastic eye for a beautiful custom from humble beginnings!

Tits indeed. It's a project my girlfriend and I have been working on for two years. Channeled 4" Chopped 3". Love every second of it.

Here's a pic from the front.
